BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- China is set to launch the National Engineer Awards to recognize over 80 individuals and 50 teams for outstanding contributions to the field of engineering technology.

The decision was made by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council, with the aim of inspiring more engineering and technical talents to contribute to building a modern socialist country in all respects and advancing national rejuvenation on all fronts.

A list of nominees for the awards was released on Monday, featuring 83 individuals and 50 teams, including one dedicated to 5G standards and industry innovation.

The list of nominees will be open for public feedback from Dec. 4 to 8, 2023.
Meanwhile for all the yapping you & your fellow Chinese indulge in on how Chinese universities are some of the best universities in the world , Chinese R&D are coming up with multiple inventions which you'd insist are not copied or stolen technology , the various sectors Chinese companies are leading in & how China plans to replace the US as the sole superpower in the world couched as becoming a developed nation by 2048 which would mark the 100th anniversary of the PRC & 2 centuries of humiliation , comes this bit of news from your brother from another mother.

China's BYD, Geely share 46.6 pct of Israel's EV sales in Jan.-Nov.
(Xinhua) 15:03, December 04, 2023
JERUSALEM, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Two major Chinese car brands, BYD and Geely, accounted for 46.6 percent of the gross sales of electric vehicles (EV) in Israel in the first 11 months of 2023, according to statistics published by the Israel Vehicle Importers Association on Sunday.

The two automakers led the EV sales chart in Israel in Jan.-Nov., with BYD selling 14,948 EV units, mainly the subcompact crossover SUV Atto 3, and Geely selling 6,884 units of the Geometry C compact crossovers.

U.S. electric automaker Tesla secured the third position with the sale of 6,334 electric cars, while South Korea's Hyundai Motor followed behind, selling 4,408 electric cars in this period.

In total, 25,837 Chinese electric cars were sold in Israel in the first 11 months, accounting for 55.1 percent of all 46,854 EVs sold in the country during the period.

Within the category of gasoline-powered cars, Chery Automobile, a Chinese automaker that entered the Israeli market in late 2022, reached the sixth position by selling 11,003 cars during the first 11 months.
Javier Milei's victory is also that of the “dollar” bloc against the “yuan” bloc defended by China. A presidential election that is part of the currency war.

Curious to what would happen, if some guy wanted to turn a 46 million people nation into a social/economic lab.

We will see 50% of anarchy, free prostitution, full legal trading on organs ... ...

Latin America would be 100 times better off if its politicians kept all their campaign promises.

GAC Aion solid-state battery will be the first to be mass-produced in Hyper models in 2026

At the 21st Guangzhou International Auto Show 2023 on November 17, GAC Group reviewed its deepening implementation of the NEXT plan this year and its achievements in independent brands, energy ecology, and internationalization. Results, and announced that all solid-state batteries will be installed on vehicles in 2026.
According to the latest news from GAC Group, this all-solid-state battery will be mass-produced under the GAC Aion brand in 2026, and Hyper models will be the first to use it.

GAC Aion Laboratory announced the completion of the experimental verification of the interface modification technology of solid-state batteries and announced a new technological breakthrough. This technology will reduce the life decay of solid-state batteries by 50% and maintain battery capacity above 90% after 150 cycles.

For a long time, solid-state batteries have been called the most promising “next generation power battery”, with many advantages such as ultra-high energy density of over 400 Wh/Kg, ultra-high safety with high temperature resistance and puncture resistance, and wide temperature range operating window. , is expected to become the ultimate solution for power batteries.
However, the interface of solid-state batteries is a solid-solid contact, with large contact resistance and poor stability. Therefore, the capacity of solid-state batteries is prone to severe attenuation and the lifespan is shortened, which greatly hinders solid-state batteries from moving from the laboratory to mass production applications.

GAC Aion said that the laboratory induced the formation of an interface buffer layer on the surface of the negative electrode through a special design of solid electrolyte components, which can effectively reduce the interface impedance and improve the interface stability.
In experimental tests, the capacity of conventional solid-state batteries declined significantly to 80% after 150 cycles; the cycle stability of solid-state batteries using interface modification technology was significantly improved, the 150-cycle capacity retention rate was >90%, and the battery life decay rate was reduced by 50 %. In addition, new solid-state electrolytes, solid-solid interface modification and other related technologies are also being developed at an accelerated pace in order to achieve continuous optimization of the comprehensive performance of solid-state batteries.
According to previous reports, GAC ERA Zhijing flagship hydrogen-electric concept car was also unveiled at the auto show. It is based on GAC’s latest multi-energy platform architecture, equipped with hydrogen fuel cells and front and rear axle distributed motors, achieving a powerful 540 horsepower. Powerful, 800km+ long range, zero emission features.

Main street gayi maiyya chudane, talking points for wumaos will be huawei, chips & byd till debt goes from 300% to 600%
;)

1) Only wealthy nations can amass large debt -- no one lends to poor nations that cannot repay debt (common sense)

2) China can and should create more debt to reach Developed status. If you need to wait until you have money to build important things then you will always be behind -- the Developed nations of the West and East Asia always fund research and projects way ahead of time:

Saying debt is "bad" when the West has 90% of global debt is not understanding how modern economies function. In fact, to Westerners debt is "bad" only when China does it.

People should look at what the West does not what they say.

Did you read the article & having read it , did you comprehend what was written there or do I bring up my familiar grouse of why MSS is down in the dumps for letting in Gaokao fail aspirants.

To dumb down my post , if the credit ratings of a country is bad which is what it is for Zhongguo , it becomes that much more difficult to raise loans which in turn means the interest rate is high & keeps getting higher the more your credit ratings decline like it is for China.

How much does it even matter when the two biggest economies in the world has "negative" outlook on their rating? :)
