Chinese brands top Israel's EV sales in Jan.-Oct.
(Xinhua) 13:27, November 03, 2023
JERUSALEM, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese automaker BYD stood as the best-selling electric vehicle (EV) brand in Israel in the first 10 months of this year by selling 14,320 cars, according to figures published by the Israel Vehicle Importers Association on Thursday.

From January to October, BYD, which entered the Israeli market in late 2022, ranked fourth in Israel's overall car sales, which include both gasoline and electric cars. The company mainly sold the electric subcompact crossover SUV Atto 3 in Israel.

Geely Auto Group, another Chinese automaker, ranked second in Israel's EV sales in the same period by selling 6,480 Geometry C compact crossovers.

American automaker Tesla clinched third place by selling 5,583 electric vehicles, followed by South Korea's Hyundai Motor, which sold 4,252 electric cars.

In the category of gasoline-powered vehicles, Chery Automobile, a Chinese automaker that entered the Israeli market in late 2022, clinched the seventh spot with 10,679 cars sold during the first 10 months.

Xpeng Motors, another leading Chinese car manufacturer, will start selling electric models in Israel through the local car dealership Freesbe.

The Israeli importer said in a statement on Thursday that the first cars of Xpeng's compact executive sedan P7 and the mid-sized luxury SUV G9 models have arrived in Israel.

The date to start the sale of Xpeng cars has not yet been set due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Once again , are you comparing a Third World 3.75 trillion USD GDP to a Developed country like China with a 19 Trillion USD GDP whose economy is booming what with the billions of USD of EVs you're exporting , the COMAC aircrafts you're building , your highly advanced SMC ecosystem , etc ? What's wrong with you ?

So why're all those billionaires deserting China & why're 13 times more Chinese illegal immigrants apprehended while crossing into the US as compared to last year when as per you & your fellow wumaos business is booming .
it is normal for some people to choose to go to countries where gdp per capita is several times higher. It's not normal to go to countries that are several times lower.

If that's the case why didn't those people go to Japan or RoK or even Taiwan ? Why did they go to the west especially the US - enemy number 1 of Zhongguo .

Since we are talking EVs.

WM - Weltmeister (name deliberately chosen to sound German) has collapsed. Senior leadership has fled the country.

He studied communist economics

The Party owns everything
The Party is always right
If the Party is wrong, the person pointing it out must write multiple essays for self criticism till the Political Commissar is satisfied. Then if the person is lucky he will be sent to a re education camp of hard regime instead of his family being billed for a 9mm bullet
Oh and Long live the party
Nowadays, it's a bit different. I've changed it slightly to comply with CCP rules in 2023:

The Party xi the poo owns everything
The Party xi the poo is always right
If The Party xi the poo is wrong, the person pointing it out must write multiple essays for self criticism till the Political Commissar is satisfied. Then if the person is lucky he will be sent to a re education camp of hard regime instead of his family being billed for a 9mm bullet

I think something similar happened to Li Keqiang. Even after murdering him, xi the poop is scared shitless.

As per the Chinese government officials, their industry's future likely rests on the shoulders of humanoid robots if the new goals of increasing mass production by 2025 and achieving an advanced level of technology by 2027 are to be met.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), which oversees the industrial sector of China, uploaded a nine-page guideline on its website, which stated that humanoid robots should “realise mass production by 2025” in China.

MIIT stated that the country would aim to “establish a humanoid robot innovation system, make breakthroughs in several key technologies and ensure the safe and effective supply of core components” by 2025.

The ministry appealed that the humanoid robots should “become an important new engine of economic growth” in China by 2027.

The document stated that by that time, “the technological innovation of humanoid robots will be significantly improved, a safe and reliable industrial supply chain system will be formed, an industrial ecology with international competitiveness will be constructed and our comprehensive strength will reach the world’s advanced level”.

This is the latest step taken by China for promoting tech self-reliance and accelerating the development of its local robotics industry as it faces fierce competition from the US in major technology areas like chips.

'Humanoid robots likely to become disruptive innovation'
As per the World Robotics 2022 Report published by the International Federation of Robotics, significant progress has been made by China in industrial robotics as it overtook the United States in 2021 for the first time and became the world's fifth most automated country in the world.

At the start of the document, MIIT stated that humanoid robots are likely to become another “disruptive innovation” after smartphones and computers and can emerge as a technology which is likely to change production and the pattern in which humans live “and reshape the pattern of global industrial development”.

The policy document also asked the industry to emphasise the “cerebellum”, “brain” and “limbs” of humanoid robots with the help of breakthroughs in artificial intelligence like the large-language models.

It appealed to the robot industry to increase the development of humanoid robots for them to be used in dangerous and harsh conditions.

So is China going to introduce universal basic income for all the jobless folks to offset the robots taking over?

The biggest advantage of robots is that they are not afraid of air pollution
