Of course , the list's true . In fact India's not 107 but 200 out of 197 in list of countries . Here's proof -

Situation during the pandemic -

Here's more -

Situation post pandemic -

The bill for this was footed by China & those people who came out with this report. 😉

This is what domination of an industry looks like.

An example from a month (Aug. 2023.) South Korea is actually the #2 ranking shipbuilder in the world but routinely gets around 13% of new orders to China's 80%!!!

This is why China is the factory of the world and India is not.
The phenomenon of China being the factory of the world is not more than 2 decades old . Do you see China being the factory of the world in perpetuity given the increasing hostile & tense relations with the west your principal markets ?

Yes. China has the largest consumer market in the world from food to cars to $2K handbags. Far bigger market than the US.

You can see from UNICEF's Hunger Index. China has 2nd largest population but consumes almost 4 times as much food as the largest population in India -- $1.5T to $380B. A population that well-fed tend to buy a lot of manufactured goods which create efficiencies and economy of scale unmatched anywhere :)

No need to go racial, foreign companies always had trouble in India, by red tape, bureaucracy or selective enforcement.

From industrial view, there are lots of research in China talking about India's business environment.

I hired an India team for coding, but will never setup a company there. I also oppose any Chinese company to investment more facotories and infras project there, it's not about love/hatre, it's just not profitble.

Just selling / buying relation is OK, China earned huge surplus, India got what they want. That's all, end of story.
No need to go racist ?? I was actually praising the Han . If there's q dishonest way to make a quick buck , you can always trust the Han to do it . You don't spare your own , why would you spare outsiders ? That's how trustworthy the Han are .

Companies keep coming in & getting out . Didn't Samsung completely exit the mobile manufacturing segment in China a few years ago only to shift lock stock & barrel here ? What do you put that down to ? Chinese underhand tactics ?

We don't want your investment & wish to cut down trade with the Han . How difficult is that to understand ? Yet it's Chinese businesses & propaganda pieces who keep whining about decreased opportunities in trading in India , difficult environment also warning India'd miss out on Excellent opportunities if they didn't allow Chinese investments. Do you see India going out of its way to court Chinese investments like we do the west or Japan or RoK ?

Not strange if you look at poverty level and high inflation. Basically 80% of the Indian population needs government assistance to stave off hunger.

The Hunger Index basically shows a country not with a lack of food but with a population unable to afford food.

India had to ban exports of rice because China and other East and Southeast countries create a lucrative market for rice at a price that the average Indian cannot afford.

This was big news:

China has the largest consumer market owing to it's population size . India's overtaken China in terms of population . As the economy grows so will the GDP per capita & consumption will follow suit .

The US consumes the most in terms of food & also has the highest population as far as obesity goes . It's called a problem of plenty .

Here's statistics on China where obesity is on the rise -

.

Try to understand the difference between hunger , malnutrition , gross consumption & over consumption.

You have a bigger population than China but China eats 4 times more food.

You have 4X population of US but you buy 12M cars less than the US, China buys 12M cars MORE than the US.

Population is important to consumption but purchasing power is more important :)

You are assuming a lot of things based on population and in forecasting an imagined brighter future.

In 2022, India was 107 in the Hunger Index.
IMG_0998.jpeg

In 2023, it dropped to 111 out of 125:
IMG_0997.jpeg

This shows a deterioration in the Indian population's ability to move beyond subsistence level and then to an ability to consume at a high level. You cannot buy manufactured goods like China (and the US) if your population is declining in its ability to nourish itself.

This deterioration in the Hunger Index happened while India's economy is growing faster than ever -- so the situation is even more dire.

Your population is growing faster than your best economic performance can alleviate. Basically you cannot generate enough jobs and wealth to feed your people adequately which will not lead to consumption levels we see in China or the US.

After left Ruoqiang, now we are going to cross the biggest desert in China, also the 10th biggest desert in the world.

The desert is as large as 440,000km2, the whole area is full of sands. Now the area is almost operated by PetroChina. They built lots of oil fields and the output is the same amount of India annually. They also built two roads cross the whole desert. Each road is at least 500km long.

We rent a retired Benz Unimog track from PetroChina, went into the heart of desert and sand skating for fun.

Do u even know how this bogus report is made
When a country can distribute grains to 800 million people during covid
Mind it covid when economic situation was not good
And u don't know shit about grains production and procurement in India
Better do some research before following bogus and retarded stats
First research how this stat is made
Then let ur mind work in that direction

I just gave you information in #12922 to show why India's not 111 but 200 out of 197 in the list of countries as far as rhe hunger index goes .

As far as me forecasting an imagined bright future , it's international organizations like the IMF WB etc who're taking about a sustained 6% + GDP growth rate for this decade as far as India goes simultaneously pointing out to decline in China's GDP rates to < 4% . So if you have any objections you ought to take it up with them.

As far as rhe situation being dire goes , let me explain to slaves of the CCP what food inflation looks like when it comes to affecting political fortunes of a political party out here .

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-49933613

Now compare this to China -

Agricultural subsidies of 220 billion USD in the year 2022 as compared to 100 billion USD in the US although the US has far more arable land than China has or will ever have.

https://www.eastasiaforum.org/2022/06/08/the-real-victims-of-chinas-subsidies/

The " benefits " of increased spending power of the average Chinese citizen.

A number of low-income countries subsidize the price of staple foods such as rice in an effort to improve nutrition, and these programs generally enjoy great public support. However, subsidizing staple foods may cause households to shift to their spending to better-tasting foods that are actually less nutritious. In China, researchers analyzed the impact of food subsidies on nutrition and found no evidence of a positive impact. In fact, the subsidies may even have caused some households to consume fewer calories and important vitamins and minerals.

Then this happened in a nation recording double digit growth rate for nearly 2 decades with a per capita GDP of > 12000 USD . Wonder why ?😉

China launched a low-income subsidy program in 2011 to offer cash handouts to the needy when the consumer price index or food prices hit certain thresholds. Each city or region sets its own standard as living costs vary across the country.

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

These are the facts:

1) Chinese produces and consumes around 4X more food than India

2) China ranks in top tier in UNICEF's Hunger Index indicating abundance of food; India ranks 111 out of 125 indicating severe lack of good. Lack of food highlights subsistence level standard of living which means little discretionary spending to support manufactured goods.

3) Both China and India have 4X population of the US. India buys only a fraction of what Americans buys but China buys multiples of what Americans buy.

Large population plus purchasing power equal high consumption rates which allows economy of scale and efficiency in manufacturing.

This is why China remains the world's factory irregardless of geo-politics. China simply has the world's largest consumer market.
