India is good at badminton and shooting

India still needs to invest more in sports

1.4 billion people should have the potential to become a sports power
Why should we become a sports power? Because of the west?? Olympics is not an Indian event. We have our own sports that we excel at. We are not going to invest in cycling or golf just because the white people prefer it. These sports are not part of our national psyche yet. Swimming or gymnastics is the same way. These sports are not part of Indian tradition yet.

He can say whatever he wants. But if people are not interested in certain types of events it is not going to work. Today india has decent sports facilities in all major cities and important towns. This is enough for people to show their talents.

By the way if india does these expensive events we are not going to fake opening ceremonies like in Hangzhou. No one gives a f$%K if the opening ceremony was modest. Only the CCP does. Why do you guys do this and then cry when no one believes anything happening in China?

Too boost economy, destroy mosques, korans, veils and beards.

China is so lucky to only have 1 percent terrorists, whom they are further reducing via forced sterlization.

I m traveling in Xinjiang now, the best way to deal with terrorism is bring secular life to them, with good economic expectations and good infras.

ROME (Reuters) -Italy is considering new incentives for car purchases that would factor in carbon emissions in the manufacturing and distribution process, two sources close to the matter told Reuters on Monday, a way of protecting its industry against Chinese imports.

The scheme, inspired by one adopted in France last month, would potentially discourage purchases of Chinese-built electric cars (EVs), imports of which are increasing in Europe helped by lower prices than those produced by local automakers.

Rome sees the French incentive framework as "reasonable", one of the sources said, adding the government was studying such an option. Italy is interested in following France's approach, the second source confirmed.

While normally incentives simply target the vehicles emissions, under the new rules proposed in France car models will be scored against government-set thresholds for the amount of energy used to make their materials, in their assembly and transport to market, as well as what type of battery the vehicles have.

European Union competition rules do not allow countries to favour local producers. However, criteria designed in France are likely to make Chinese cars ineligible for bonuses as the Asian country's industry is largely powered by coal-generated electricity and vehicles are shipped worldwide by boat.

Paris has said criteria it adopted are compliant with WTO rules because exemptions are allowed for health and environmental reasons.

Rome is aiming to agree a broad long term plan for its automotive industry with all local relevant groups, including Fiat-maker Stellantis, Italy's sole major automaker, with the government pushing for it to bring its annual production in the country back to one million vehicles.

Talks, which are expected to go on until the end of this year, include new incentive schemes in Italy.

Industry Minister Adolfo Urso last month said Italians had used 80% of the incentives to buy vehicles produced abroad and that a revision of the incentive framework should support both a shift to more environmental friendly vehicles and national car output.

The EU will signal Tuesday how Brussels will muscle up to counter China's aggressive trade policies, including by unveiling a list of sensitive technologies that must be kept out of Beijing's hands.

Brussels is building a trade armoury to protect the bloc from actions by rival countries, including a tool aimed at punishing nations that seek to put pressure on one of its member states.

The European Commission will publish a list of critical technologies it believes Europe must not make easily available to countries where Brussels fears they could harm the bloc's security, EU interests or human rights.

The European Parliament is also set to give its final green light on Tuesday to a mechanism that would allow the bloc to impose tariffs, restrict investment, and limit access to public contracts for nations seen as engaging in economic blackmail.

It is a response to a dispute with China over trade restrictions imposed on EU member Lithuania after it strengthened ties with Taiwan.

MEPs will also quiz the commission on Tuesday about the EU's relations with China following a visit by trade commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis to China last month.

Although the European Union says it seeks to maintain dialogue with Beijing, Brussels has stepped up its efforts to curtail critical trade with China.

It is part of a strategy of "de-risking" but not "decoupling" from China, pioneered by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

She has repeatedly emphasised the need for Europe to produce more on the continent and work with friendlier nations to ensure "economic security", a phrase often used since Russia invaded Ukraine last year.

Following Moscow's invasion, the EU had to quickly find new energy sources after an over-reliance on Russian oil and gas.

- Hunt for raw materials -

The key technologies could include quantum computing, advanced semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

In June, Von der Leyen said that the EU was looking at a "limited, small set of cutting-edge technologies", adding: "Here we want to make sure they do not enhance the military capabilities of some countries of concern."

EU officials have previously raised concerns that Europe does not have its own way of assessing which technology exports could be damaging for the bloc.

There was no direct mention of China but the target of the tougher measures is clear.

The commission is working on a proposal on outbound investment that could restrict overseas funding by European companies.

It is already preparing a law to cut its dependence on China for critical raw materials, used to make products like electric cars.

China already moved in July to curb access to two rare metals -- gallium and germanium -- vital for making semiconductors.

In the latest salvo against China, Brussels opened a probe last month into Chinese electric car subsidies after claims they lead to unfair competition in the EU market.

The investigation triggered fears of a trade war with Beijing, since the EU could decide to impose tariffs on Chinese electric cars above the standard 10 percent EU rate if it concludes there are unfair practices.

This is great. India needs to adopt such heavy handed policies to deal with the rabid islamists.
Turpan is a famous tourism destination, now is also well known as Wind Valley.

Lots of SOEs invested countless wind towers in the place. And lots of local young Uyghur people now working for those wind farms. Jobless and desperation are the incubator for terrorism.

india 67% population still living in rural areas, they dont find facilities like in cities...most players r coming from 33% of urban population. in upcoming years huge population will migrate from rural to urban areas or make new cities (urbanization). that will boost economy nd india will improve in sports also with greater share of population taking part on sports etc.

I heard large share of box office of movie Dangal was from China.

Produced on a budget of ₹70 crore (US$8.8 million), the film grossed ₹2,024 crore (US$250 million), worldwide by various different estimates, including $216.2 million in China, becoming one of the country's top 20 highest-grossing foreign films and the third highest-grossing non-English foreign film in China.

SinoPetro built a 550km road inside a 440,000km desert. The oils fields inside the deserted hired lots of local Uyghur peope, and also made a neighboring city called Korla quite developed.

We have all this development too. But terrorism in India is promoted by foreign forces. The Indian government is now finally tackling that through heavy handed approaches in Pakistan and elsewhere. The terrorism in India is not because of lack of jobs or poverty. It is because of religion and brain washing from across the border. These days Government seems to have cracked the whip on terrorists wherever they live. Many heads of evil has been cut down and more will roll. Terrorism is now down considerably but the threat remains. Fanatics like ISIS who don’t care about jobs but just want to kill everyone are still a threat for all countries including China.
