They had the same GDP in 1970s.

Then China became a very capitalistic and happy place in the decades that followed with people making money, people spending money, people traveling the world spending money :D

I've told you this before we hope for China to grow more & more capitalistic in the years to come & advance even more in material sciences like building airliners by COMAC in the thousands, add thousands of kms to it's Hyperloop/ MAGLEV network , invest more in Nuclear fusion reactors , install thousands of N reactors all across China , establish a monopoly on EV etc.

The more it does so the closer it brings itself to a trade war with the west so that Taiwan isn't the only sore spot . We're looking forward to the 2 of you duking it out before the decade ends. And Duke it out you will , one way or another since the G2 formula proposed by the CCP was long dismissed by the US.😁

Think carefully about this:
Yes & the great helmsman 2.0 is very anxious to repay Taiwan for all that it's done for China. Expect repayment to happen with interest by the end of this decade. 😁
He doesn't have to repay us. We're all one people, one family to be honest -- there are many Taiwanese who feel Beidou, Tiangong and C919 smong others are ours too ;)

Anyways, think carefully about this -- a country whose per capita income was like half of the Philippines in the 1970s now has more tourists traveling around the world than America and who spends more than twice as much as Americans when traveling abroad.

Think carefully about this - It's because you're one people that Great Helmsman 2.0 will be sending armadas across the Taiwan straits. Make sure you welcome them with flowers in Taiwan.

Anyway think care fully about this - Pls post data from 2022 now that you've posted data from the pre Wuhan virus era China , from 2017 to be precise & keep posting such data on a year on year basis , every year same time , so that comparison becomes easy. 😉

I'll take you up on this bet ;) TSMC fought and nail to keep operations in China despite the Greens and immense US pressure -- and won (along with the Koreans.)
IMG_5789.jpeg

There won't be war. Just like there wasn't the last 4 decades while Greater China grew and grew
... and grew
... and grew.

There are too many EVs, C919s, giant Magic City Cruiseships, Molten Salt, Pebble, Fusion nuclear reactors, etc, to build.

Indians do not understand Chinese people's mindset on business and growth and happiness. We won't allow politics to come between business and money and plain old happiness :D

No one can make them f$ck this up. Not even Americans and I am not sure they really want to :)

What do you suppose the spy chiefs of the US and China talked about? :D

Three top officers of TSMC including CEO CC Wei will be in Shanghai next week:

They are doing this despite heavy pressure from the US trying to divide TSMC and other Taiwanese tech companies from China. But Taiwanese tech is led by Blues not Greens ;)

Indians do not understand. You think Taiwanese and Chinese are like Pakistanis and yourselves but we're family to be honest :)

Infant mortality rate
China 6.49
Mexico 12

Life expectancy at birth
China 78.23
Mexico 73.46

Hospital bed density
China 4.3
Mexico 1
world bank and CIA book now let us see

Fertility rate is 1.2 for China witha population of 1412 million

that is equal to 16.944 million people every year

Mexico has 129000 million people do you understand if you have more births per women the chances they die are higher?

For China and Mexico to be comparable they need to have the same fertility rate and the fertility rate of Mexico is 1.5 higher than China so the incidence of an event is higher.

But okay let us consider Mexico is higher in reality is not a wide gap 7 to 12 conidering we have a higher fertility rate

Tell me all Mexicans live up to 73 and die? do all Chinese live up to 78 and die that is stupid since people die at different ages you the life expectancy is a generalization, based subjective and objective data, since not everything will be bed of hospital but also Crime deaths, diseases, suicide.

So in that it shows you use a generalization to affirm China is better it is not this

Hospital beds, okay some estatistics say Mexico is 1.5

121
Mexico
1.5

Still is not a huge gap

Those regions you mentioned are of lesser importance from a modern point of view. Taiwan is much more strategic.

2. Water Pollution
High on the list of environmental issues in China is water pollution. As much as 90% of the country’s groundwater is contaminated by toxic human and industrial waste dumping, as well as farm fertilisers, causing about 70% of rivers and lakes to be unsafe for human use. Nearly half of the population does not have access to water that is safe for human consumption, while two-thirds of the rural population has to rely on tainted water due to a lack of adequate systems to treat wastewater.

Another huge issue affecting food security in China is desertification, a process by which natural and human causes reduce the biological productivity of drylands. Research shows that 27.4% of the country has undergone desertification, affecting about 400 million people. The entirety of China’s agricultural production comes from just 7% of its land area, most of which is located in northern areas that are severely affected by land degradation. This phenomenon threatens to leave much of these regions uninhabitable by degrading soil content, increasing rates of erosion, limiting natural vegetation, and almost entirely eliminating the possibility of agricultural production.

It seems you forgot to see at the white color part of china

The Yellow River in China
The Yellow River, also known as the Huang He, is a major river in northern China that has a long history of pollution. China’s environmental problems are well known, but the state of the Yellow River stands as one of the most damning examples of human short-sightedness.

The Yellow River is an important water source for millions of people in China, but it has been heavily polluted over the years due to industrialization, agricultural runoff, and the dumping of domestic waste into the river. In the past, the river has been prone to serious water pollution incidents, and it has been declared “dead” on several occasions due to the high levels of pollution and the lack of oxygen in the water.

Plastic river pollution
Economic expansion is again responsible for much of the problem. For example, the city of Shizuishan, one of the world’s most polluted cities, boasts a veritable forest of chemical and pharmaceutical factories, and which are responsible for the surreal and terrifying sight of blood red waste pumping into the water and turning it a hideous purple [4].

In recent years, the Chinese government has taken steps to address the pollution in the Yellow River, including increasing regulation of industrial discharges, promoting the use of environmentally-friendly farming practices, and improving the treatment of sewage. However, the river still faces significant pollution challenges, and it is important for the government and other stakeholders to continue working to address these issues.

yes you have computers and plastic and water pollution yes superpower for pollution too

So we are capitalism nation now?

Check this free and poorly maintained public school, from an Indian youtuber.

Your party secretaries are the Ponzi scheme makers. The rest are just slaving for them. In this way, yeah criminally capitalistic. What has the YT video of a school in a tier 1 city like Shenzhen got to do with anything? Maybe this is where the party secretaries send their kids to?

The future of transportation, education and even pets were on display at the latest BEYOND expo in Macau. Held in May 2023, the expo provides a global stage for Asia's tech giants and start-ups to showcase their latest innovations in their own backyard. This year's show was heavily dominated by consumer tech from Mainland China from battlebots to electric cars that can fly. For Marketplace Asia, CNN's Kristie Lu Stout profiles the expo and talks to top players in the flying EV space including EHang and Geely subsidiary Aerofugia. EHang, a global leader in the development of flying vehicles, unveiled its latest prototype at the expo. Sitting in the cockpit of the VT-30, EHang COO Xin Fang says: "The VT-30 is designed for intercity transportation. It's capable of flying for 100 minutes with a flight range of 300 kilometers. It's an autonomous vehicle that does not need a runway."

China's Siberia but with much better infrastructure. Check my trip blog:

Major rivers originating from Tibetan plateau

Yangtze River, Asia's longest river, entirely contained in Chinese territory(insane!)
Yellow River, Asia's second longest river, entirely contained in Chinese territory(insane!)
Mekong River, Asia's third longest river, owned by China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam.
Brahmaputra, Asia's sixth longest river, owned by China, India, Bangladesh
Indus River, Asia's eighth longest river, owned by China, India, Pakistan
Yarlung Tsangpo, Asia's twelfth longest river, almost the same length as Ganges, owned by China, India, Bangladesh

This is just ridiculous. So many great rivers from Tibetan plateau.
