Chinese numbers cannot be trusted. Period. No point in citing any numbers from China. No one will believe in any numbers from China. The only number anyone believes in is the number of executions/capital punishment by CCP and the number of Chinese lining up at US’ Guangzhou consulate to flee China.

Greening in China has been incredible in the past two decades! And it is still continuing!

Russia I understand…they really have no option and probably use RMB to settle trade. Mexico needs more investigation as to why. Maybe initial novelty. Once Chinese quality and dirty business practices are exposed, Mexicans probably will kick out the Chinese brands.

Does not matter who the author is. It is a well established matter that Chinese numbers cannot be trusted. There is no longer even a debate about it. Fudging data and doing sleazy business is in Chinese blood. It is just the west looked the other way for a very long time.

The CIA just publishes national data and publicly available information. Most of the data coming out of China cannot be trusted. Even your own premier Li Keqiang has said so. Once it has been 100% established that Chinese gdp is heavily overstated, all other numbers just fade away.

LOL…this is just price play. No one is buying anything from China for its quality and brand. As Indians get richer and as india cracks down on slimy chinese business practices, expect shares to go down. By the way who cares about mobile phones? These are small value additions in a giant economy like India’s.
Talk to me when Chinese brands establish any significant share in big ticket items like cars or non-industrial transport. You cannot beat Indian brands in 2/3/4 wheelers unless Chinese companies are indianized, which is well underway.
One interesting fact: Indians are able to afford buying gold worth much more than iPhones. They are buying cheap Chinese phones for use and throw.

CIA is not into validating economic data. That is not their job. They are collecting data on how many Tibetans have been executed, Chinese criminals that stole US IP etc. Looks like the Chinese are scared of seeing the CIA everywhere.
