So the state is essentially paying itself since it owns large portion of these companies. Isn’t that just washing funds to boost valuation? Lots of other countries would jail the execs for doing this.

I m right here to take my new car the B+ class of Citron C6, ordeted 2 weeks ago.The local government gave a 15K USD subsidy for this 40K USD French brand.

The Chinese EV brands and BYD sales are so strong, badly hit those forgein brands (JV with local companies) which made locally. The provincial govenment helps car makers to clean inventory gaining the cash flow and forced them transfer to new engegy types.

I planed to buy Nio ET5 with 50K USD, but no one can refuse such big diacount,so i surrender

There is no point of comparison between us and China in terms economy and especially consumption
There are no doubts Chinese go very far in consumption wrt as they have much larger economy much larger pci nearly 10k+ and also have 1.5 billion people
They can match usa consumption any day in future
Coming to India every sector every index our consumption is lesser than Chinese as we are just 2.5k+ pci economy and more over we don't manufacture the level of what Chinese do nor we can match it
But when u show KFC and Starbucks that's the one thing I don't agree bcoz in our nation 44% are vegetarians and even in non veg many people prefer veg and u don't now the intensity of people who consume tea and coffefrom local vendors or restaurants its damn huge and even price is damn low
Very less people prefer fancy stuffs in Starbucks and all
Except these all other index Chinese have practical edge over entire world your consumption is also enough to sustain economy is something goes south in future

See I have written everywhere Chinese consumption is unmatched but in case of eating u have to look at a place's eating habits and culture

I actually used those brands out of consideration for cultural differences. Indian cuisine has a lot of famous chicken dishes that I eat all the time -- tandoori, bryani, tikka masala! -- so that is why I use KFC instead of say Burger King:

It's doesn't mean if Starbuck coffee or tea is appreciated through out the world it will be done in India here tea and coffee are staple people dring 3-4 cups both in home and outside but anyone goes to Starbucks or Cafe coffee day

It's much different and much much diverse these items are eaten not regularly and importantly they belong their origin to Punjab except biryani which isn't Indian itself
Our nation has diverse culture

To understand our diversity u have to travel no other option

I am not saying about these modern variation
Ours the composition is key and changes place to place and over it every place has it own spice to be added with
No cream or tetrapack milk or churned milk
Normal milk sugar tea/coffee spice(varies every state and even personal) and importantly making technique
Composition is key only local vendors and restaurants can perfect it
So they sell lot of tea/coffee u can check in youtube u will find no person in our nation can start their day without tea or coffee Ofcourse exception exists just like me

@jai jaganath do not fall for any of the Chinese propaganda. These CCP agents have been posting their bullshit in this forum since ages. This is a part of CCPs information warfare. Everyone knows that.

The higher rate of car sales in China is simply because of the heavily subsidized prices, which these Chinese themselves are talking about. It helps in increasing the steel consumption.

Where as in India, specially with cars. These is heavy tax on car sales. And luxury cars invite even bigger import duties & taxes. The government is artificially keeping a check over the industry.

Why ? Because Crude oil imports single handedly contribute the biggest portion in our Current Account Deficit.China is able to mitigate this problem because they have a trade surplus.

Thus the market behaviour in both countries is different primary because of Government intervention, with different priorities.

GoI is investigating heavily on improving the manufacturing sector. And with US companies pulling out of China, we are in the best phase of our manufacturing sector growth.

Chinas growth rate has already been plataued, with their fast ageing demographic, just having subsidies would not save them in the long run.
