Is that high GDP isn not due to commie policies but due to benevolent west that raised you against Soviet commies ??
WW2 destruction has no connection , or we can similarly say why German Per capita gdp is 5 times of commie filths despite getting destroyed 2 times.

That is the main reason why Chinese nationalists would rather just let the CCP muddle along instead of a revolution.

And for muddling along, the Chinese people (and that includes not just those on the mainland) got the world's largest economy, the world's top trading nation and generally a lot of wealth for Greater China including for Taiwan.

Obviously, Indians want apocalypse now in the Taiwan Strait or a civil war in China so that the Chinese economy can be taken down a notch or two but things are generally good enough that Chinese don't need war to create immediate change.

But more freedom in the future will create a wealthier China

remember we opened our economy about 15-20 years later than China , hence CCP state got chance to LARP as non-commie and US also propelled PRC to counter Russia.

India is exactly where China was 15 years back but as a democracy, and reached here without blessings of USA or western world.
China's actions in the strait can create same situation for India that helped grow for China as a counter against Soviets.

Why Greater Hindu area incudes India, Pak, SL, BD, have such low per GDP than Greater China area like Mainland China, HK, TW, Macao ... The area was almost totally destroyed during WWII.

That brings us back to this question: how come India as a democracy is so much poorer than China and so mindnumbingly poorer than the East Asian democracies?

It is obvious why China is poorer (commie!) but why India?

What makes freedoms in India work differently from Taiwan, Korea and Japan?
