The state is apparently nervous about the crash, according to industry site Airlive, sparking speculation Beijing is rubbing out online evidence of the incident which happened in the Guizhou province.

Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV showed footage on its website of an aircraft ablaze mid-flight, while several other unverified clips of burning debris and a huge plume of smoke in a rural area circulated online from the late afternoon.

The online videos also showed a dozen or so onlookers walking in muddy ground dotted with burning debris.

There were no reports of casualties by late Monday and the air force did not specify the aircraft involved.

But Airlive tweeted: "Chinese authorities are apparently nervous about the crash, as related video and posts are being deleted from the internet."

The Chinese air force said in a brief statement online: “In the afternoon of January 29, an aircraft from the Air Force crashed during flight training in Guizhou province. Currently, search and rescue efforts are underway

“There were no reports of casualties by late Monday and the air force did not specify the aircraft involved.”

The military has increased the frequency and intensity of training in response to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s call to turn the PLA into a combat-ready and modern fighting force, according to The South China Morning Post.

c919 is civilian jet.

the crashec one is supposed to be a military one.

it might be a transporter or AWAC,because there were 12 victims.

P
Chinese have to delete videos they cannot let their reputation of being a world class arms manufacture be tarnished by the fact they make defective garbage.
Planes crash all the time, especially if you are a substandard manufacturer like China. I wonder how many videos they delete or just keep silent about such incidents. No accountability, whatsoever.

Here is the video

Narrow fuselage, 2x engines and belly mounted wings. Certainly not a Y-20 or IL-76/78 type. Most definitely a A320/ B737 class aircraft.

Now the question arises why take so much pain trying to wipe all evidences off internet if it is either A320 or B737?

In all likelihood a COMAC 919 just crashed.

The aircraft in the video is a narrow body commercial airliner no way this one is military aircraft this looks more like an A320 to me from the look of it ..Either this video is not of the crashed aircraft or the crashed aircraft is not a military one ...

Edit : As per Wiki PLAAF has 2 B737 used for maritime patrol ..Can the crashed aircraft might be one of these B737s ????

If the crashed aircraft is indeed Boeing or Airbus then why would Chinese try to hide evidences of its crash?

Because they think they have a market somewhere for the flying piece of crap. They can impress/fool Pakistan
but that is easy.
Yup! If C919 has indeed crashed then its future outside Chinese market is nothing but bleak.

As for Pakistani market. Well Today Pakistan is another autonomous region of China. They are replacing USD with Yuan. So I would rather call them an extended Chinese market.

Chinese weapons have a reputation of being an international joke. In Sri lankan civil war chinese weapons had very high rates of failure. No one wants to buy reversed engineered 30 year old junk (except pak)

It’s not so easy to hide the crash of a Boeing or Airbus, both have immense backing from their govts. In most cases Boeing crashes involve the NTSB and Airbus crashes involve the BEA (French NTSB) because they are made in US/France.

Neither OEM would let the crash of one of their airliners be covered up, they have FAR too much to lose if there is a problem in their aircraft that affects the rest of their fleet.

That neither OEM has raised questions so far points the finger elsewhere.....

Apparently video is spliced together. First part is normal 737 approach.

This was a Y8 crash according to Chinese.
According to Chinese saying it was Y-8 the death toll was 43. There is no way a SIGINT aircraft would carry that many people. Then of course there is the fact China scrubbing the internet to get any evidence of that airliner out of existence.

Source for 43?

If so then this is BS, crew wouldn’t be higher than a dozen unless they took out a small skyscraper on the way down but looks like it hit an empty field.

Obviously, that’s the nature of democracy.

After a few derailments rail minister was removed, after Sub accidents IN chief resigned etc etc

There’s ZERO accountability in China.
