He/She is not denying that they are copying weapons but claiming since the copied weapons are made in China, they own the IP. Very bizarre and strange argument, at this point we should just assume they are trolling and chuckle.
Conveniently denying the fact that once you get the blueprints to a system by hacking or reverse engineering or espionage or whatever, you have conveniently bypassed the crucial step called R&D for which the Intellectual Property claims are filed anyway.
What a bunch of jhandus.

Okay... let me get this straight. You are denying the fact that china has copied weapons from other countries.

I'm quoting a list which follows. Along with the weapon I think they have been copied from. Let's see whether you agree to it or deny it.

Type 56 Assault rifle =================== Russian Ak-47 and AKM
Norinco CQ ========================== American M-16
Chengdu Pterodactyl ===================== American Predator drone.
J-11 Fighter =========================== Sukhoi Su-27
J-7 ======================== Mig-21
Type 58 tank ================= Soviet T-34
Type 59 tank ================= Soviet T-54
J-20 Stealth fighter ============== Mig 1.44 Prototype
HArbin Z-9 ==================== AS365 Dauphin

There are more which I can quote but lets see you reply to these first.

http://www.popularmechanics.com/military/a746/3319656/

The J-11A and Z-9 are modern ToT which is the same deal as the Brahmos. Only difference is China no longer needs parts from Russia and France.

All the older Soviet systems were part of the Commie bloc where everyone from Poland to China built Soviet T-34, T-54, AK-47. There was no IP.

J-20 is stealth and flying. MiG 1.44 was not stealth and is not flying. Nothing alike at all except they are both planes with canards.

If the Russians thought there were IP violations they would punish China by withholding the RD-93 and stop the JF-17 program. Obviously, with the JF-17 now being sold to Burma and Nigeria too the Russians don't there were any IP issues.

Sorry, Chinese drones use all Chinese parts so it is Chinese. Unless the Predator was also designed to use Chinese parts there cannot be any IP issues there either.

You are conveniently forgetting how IP is nothing more than ideas and without a massive industrial base you have nothing.

And you are conveniently forgetting that espionage against great powers like the US and Russia is played only by other great powers. It is never done successfully by non-whites.

It is obvious to any sane person that it is the other way around.

Oh ok, so China is a white nation now. :doh:

IP? If they were someone else's IP then all they had to do to stop China selling is to stop parts from being sold to China. But sorry all the the parts are made in China so the IP belongs to China.

This talk about "robbing" is just jealousy and makes no sense. It takes a massive industrial base to make weapons that you can sell. Without thus massive industrial base you can create or "steal" all the IP you want and you still won't have anything but an "idea." All Chinese are proud of this massive industrial base.

We think it is shameful to not have an industrial base that can create weapons you can sell. But different cultures have different priorities.

If truth hurts then deal with it.

Nope, it doesn't hurt. Because it is just jealous talk from Indians while Chinese weapons continue to be exported.

See this?

It uses a Russian supplied RD-93. If China had violated any Russian "IP" then they would have punished China by withholding it.

Obviously that is not the case.

You need to brush up your knowledge on espionage then. Israel has long conducted espionage against the US and has been stealing their technological secrets. They have an entire intelligence agency solely dedicated to this task.

In the past, they have colluded with Chinese intelligence to break open an NSA safe which was located in a North American forest after there was a forest fire.

Details can be found with valid references in "Gideon's Spies" by Gordon Thomas.

Don't use that b word around me. Very sexist (not sexy.)

Doubt it is true, but if it were true don't you think it would be cool to have a non-white nation like China lord it over whities?

Actually India spends far more on Russian stuff than China so we already know that it isn't true. If China had violated Russian IP, there is no way they would supply the RD-93 for JF-17 especially when India is their biggest customer.

Wrong. Intellectual property is everything. Cheap labour anyone can supply. That's why Apple designs the IPhone and pays China to manufacture it. Do you know why it's not the other way around?

Copying is Chinese strength. Accept it man. Not only in Defence, absolutely anything and everything you can think of has already been blatantly. They haven't even left out architecture...

Man just stop arguing that Chinese dont copy. You will only humiliate yourself. Unless you want a thread started for Chinese copied items so everyone can have a laugh. China is world copying capital.

Progressive? What does that mean? And what does that have to do with anything? Every country on that list is wealthier than India and they have bought weapons from China. For Indians to claim they are better off than Saudis and Kuwaitis and Thais is arrogance combined with silliness. They are far wealthier.

The same goes for Iran, Argentina and Venezuela for all their issues. Each one of those are higher on the human development index than India.

In fact, all of the nations listed have a higher HDI than India, I think.
Argentina and venezual are miserable economies lullz(Venezuela has inflation of 150%+),iran is a terror funding isolated state,dont talk about Saudis and gulf countries,i frequently visit gulf countries and the income inequality is not hidden,extractionist economies are the worst,

Now venezual iran and Argentina are the countries which lie in middle income group and are not showing any sign of catching up.we will get past them in 1 decade.

Sorry mister, I speak like this, deal with it or jerk it.

Doubt it is true, but if it were true don't you think it would be cool to have a non-white nation like China lord it over whities?.
I don't have an inferiority complex wrt whites like you do and don't try to insert race into everything so no. I have studied and work with white people everyday, they are just the same as every other race.

Actually India spends far more on Russian stuff than China so we already know that it isn't true. If China had violated Russian IP, there is no way they would supply the RD-93 for JF-17 especially when India is their biggest customer.
Russia China trade - 40 billion and expected to grow to 100 million
Russia India trade - 6 billion and expected to shrink because of proximity to America

Put two and two together.

You guys are comical to say the least.

China ranks number 3 behind the USA and Russia in defense exports. Trying to deflate those figures by judging the economies or standards of living from the client countries just makes you all look peevish.

Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Pakistan are all big customers to American defense companies, yet I don't see any one on this forum jumping to minimize the quality or efficiency of the weapons sold to said countries.

An export is an export, get over it gents.

Pakistan is not a customer to American Defense. It is a nation of beggars which is given weapons in aid.

And nobody complains about American weapon systems because they are effective and quality products, albeit overpriced.

Unlike cheap Chinese knockoffs.
Pakis will become the slaves of China by 2030................

They buy/beg knockoff Chinese crap in bulk to ramp up numbers and intimidate the enemy and quality American hardware in limited numbers for actual use. :pound:

Well... Those "cheap Chinese knockoffs" ie AIP submarines, frigates, corvettes, anti-ship missiles, fighter jets, LIFT trainers and a variety of radar and electronic systems are being deemed capable by the defense departments and defense ministries of an ever-growing list of countries.

Your comments on Pakistan are to be expected from an Indian, but Lockheed Martin, Boeing and a myriad of western and Chinese defense companies don't seem to mind your perceived "beggar" status of that county.

Let me know when you have something more to contribute other than petty nationalistic jibes that belong more on Indian Tabloids than on a serious defense forum...
