People dont buy Chinese Phones like xiaomi .............

People buy mobile with Qualcomm processor (USA ) , Samsung RAM ,memory ,display (Korea ), Sony camera sensors , Android Operating system (USA) which is assembled by Foxconn (Taiwan) .

most profit is Going to non Chinese companies ...................................just try to change these components & nobody will buy Chinese products .

with cold war with USA , Korea , japan & Taiwan ........................china will loose their Industries & economy too .

Mainly electronic items because there was western sanction on India and we could not develop semiconductor Industry because of that .

just check the Top semiconductor companies around the world no Chinese company in top -10 .

China is just providing cheap labors ................You dont have IP rights and technology .
lol, cheap labors? by whose criteria? in no way are you qualified to call Chinese cheap labor, because indian workers are cheaper. not only cheaper, but lazier and more imcompetent.

we don't have to be the top 10 to beat India, because India doesn't even make top 20 or top 30.

china is facing the same embargo, but still managed to develop a robust though not advanced semiconductor industry.

India is simply behind and can't live with that fact.

even that, xiaomi becomes a multibillion dollar company, still much better than indian micromax or whatever their names are, no to mention there are other Chinese cellphone companies which are more successful.

xiaomi's success might be built on foreign technology, but certainly not indian technology.

if your companies are dependent on foreign technologies then you should not brag about them ..........

Go and develop something comparable to intel , AMD, Qualcomm processors then only brag about your electronic industries ..........................dont take credit of American , Korean , Taiwanese & Japanese technologies .

Go and fight a cold war with Taiwan , Korea , Japan & USA ...............Your Industries will be destroyed .

I as an Indian think that we should not be jealous of Chinese achievements and give praise where its due. No hard feelings and u guys have done well for urself so congrats on that. i hope we work harder and do better. But as far as arms exports are concerned which is what this thread is, I still dont think Pak which is 47% of ur exports has paid cold hard cash for anything. To the best of my knowledge they have mortgaged their land in GB and Gwadar for these purchases.

And u are confusing development cost with acquisition cost . Pak may have part financed the development cost (which would have been negligible)but i am pretty sure that the kits supplied for the aircrafts made in pak have not been paid for.

LOL ....................India is facing embargo after 1974 atomic tests , Cold wars & then 1998 atomic tests .

all those time Chinese Enjoyed western investment & western technologies ...............

still you dont have advanced semiconductor industry.........................You are just Providing cheap labors ....................... India can also provide same things , this is why India will get benefit of Cold war between China-USA (& Japan , Korea , Taiwan )................when these companies will move out of china ...........we will give them tax benefits , Engineers , technicians , labors to establish Industries in India .

our relationship with USA was always bad because India was a soviet ally ............our relationship improved only in the last 10-15 years .

and now we have World's biggest IT-industry .

TCS,infosys , wipro , tech mahindra , patni etc all of them are multi billion $ companies .

we have to do same thing in other industries too ...........

display of jealousy and despair at its best!

just because xiaomi builds its success on Samsung, Qualcomm, Sony, etc doesn't mean it's not a great achievement. anyone could have make cellphones out of components provided by those companies, but few achieved what xiaomi has done.

if you were from south korea, I would have shut up on those posts, because southKorea has Samsung which dwarfs xiaomi. but as an indian, what do you offer to compete xiaomi? we don't have to develop something comparable to intel, AMD or Qualcomm to prove that we are better than India, just one xiaomi is enough.

no to mention that china has companies more successful than xiaomi. HUAWEI, being the third largest cellphone manufacturer, doesn't rely on Qualcomm processors, but instead equips its cellphone with the Kirin processors designed by itself.

your desire for another cold war only reveals your desperation, you have realized that India doesn't even stand a chance against china in a 1 vs 1 scenario.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Awww ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, HUAWEI is not famous outside china , people dont buy shitty HUAWEI .................people buy xiaomi phone because of Qualcomm processors , Samsung display ,RAM,memory & assembling by Foxconn are available at dirt cheap rate .

remove these components and nobody will buy Xiaomi .

when USA (& japan , Korea,Taiwan ) will start a Cold war with China .................Xiaomi will be bankrupt along with China .
.
Fight was never 1 vs 1 ..................China Enjoyed western support in the last 50 years ..............but after getting little power (& money ) You started barking on those people who developed Your Industries .

so now dont even try to take credit of western technologies .............

whatever India achieved under Western sanctions & cold war is remarkable .................and we are Proud of that . :india:

also HUAWEI dont have semiconductor technologies .:pound::pound::pound:

they are just doing license Production ..............both ARM &
Vivante Corporation are AMERICAN companies .

stop taking credit of American Achievements :laugh::laugh::laugh:

without American support , CHINA is nothing ...........

HiSilicon (Chinese: 海思; pinyin: Hǎisī) is a Chinese fabless semiconductor company based in Shenzhen, Guangdong and fully owned by Huawei.

HiSilicon purchased licenses from ARM Holdings for at least ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore, ARM Cortex-M3, ARM Cortex-A7 MPCore, ARM Cortex-A15 MPCore,[1][2] ARM Cortex-A53, and ARM Cortex-A57 and also for the Mali-T628 MP4.[3][4]

HiSilicon also purchased licenses from Vivante Corporation for their GC4000 graphics core.

Ahh the racist wisdom.:biggrin2: the quality of chinese education is improving :bounce:.

India is simply behind and can't live with that fact.
We are still alive. :biggrin2:

We should respect chinese for what they achieved.
Respect is a mutual thing. You can't respect someone who doesn't respect you.
Comprende.

to prove that we are better than India
:pound::pound::pound:ok Now what.
Why do you people have to prove everything to everybody :biggrin2:

silly comment.

ARM is a British company, not American.

it's common for IC design companies to acquire IP core from ARM and integrate it into the SoC (system on a chip). nowadays a cellphone processor is basically a SoC which consists of two parts, the AP (application processor, including CPU and GPU) and BP(baseband processor which manages all the radio functions ). the IP core huawei gets licensed from ARM does the job of AP, the BP part is what huawei excels at. combining the AP and BP, huawei designs a SoC, outsources the manufacturing job to TSMC or SMIC both of which are semiconductor foundries, turns it into a cellphone processor.

it's a very mature business mode in semiconductor industry employed by most companies, Qualcomm or Samsung also get licenses for ARM architectures or cores.

Can we please stick to the topic which is Chinese arms exports. I still haven't found out as to how many of these exports are on loans and how many in cash . I dont think pakistan will pay for its weapons.

Mostly they sale on line of credit. It's obvious because countries with hefty pockets opt for Western equipments .
If Western technology is barred they will go for Russian platforms.

Only countries with minuscule defence budget opt for Chinese equipment.
Like Bangladesh or Myanmar etc. There is no way they can pay full amount without credit or they get weapons heavily subsidized.
Now there might be exceptions but they will be rare.

Or perhaps learn from "achievements" of both friendly and hostile nations. Always critically self examine, identify deficiencies, and continually work on self improvement.

WRT Pakistan. Can anyone claiming that Pakistan doesn't pay for its defense acquisitions give us proof?

SOME (not all) Chinese military exports to Pakistan are on a credit basis, which means they PAY the balance over an agreed period, but at the end of the day, the defense contractors are paid on delivery and the Pakistani govt PAYS the Chinese govt.

The Pakistani armed forces have bought AWACS aircraft, naval corvettes, radars and missile systems from China years before the Gwadar agreement, yet you all claim "they mortgaged their land in GB and Gwadar for these purchases".

Show me the proof. Show us the memorandum of understanding stating that agreement... I keep saying this over n over again. Pakistan is a customer like any other, it buys defence equipment from Sweden, to the USA, and Russia. Those countries count Pakistani exports in their annual export accounts, why shouldn't China do the same?

Plus SIPRI does the accounting, an international organisation; not the CCP, so I still don't understand your downplaying of Chinese military exports with the Pakistan card.
