That's because beretta MX4 is a smg, unlike insas which is an assault rifle and heavy for patrolling!!

BSF desperately needs modernization. CRPF is getting it good because they have to fight the naxalites. But BSF could really do with Rustom-type drones for long-endurance patrols to aid physical patrolling.

Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB) is the CAPF that guards Indo-Nepal and Bhutan borders, you mean Sagar Prahari Bal(SPB) it’s status is honestly unknown for the last few years.
