Since we have so many new members from Vietnam, and quite a few strong threads on Vietnam, I think we should create a sub-forum for Vietnam under Asia Pac forum. It would be awesome if our new friends from Vietnam invite more of their countrymen to become members too. If we can have a main forum for China and Pakistan - our primary threats, I think a main forum for our current or potential allies is justified.

After all today's young enthusiasts may end up becoming tomorrows policymakers and forging strong bonds can never be a bad thing.

You give too much credits to China and Pakistan.
The primary threats for India is herself. And has always been that way.
Aside from that, I see no reason we cant have a vietnam section here. Just hope they are not the same posters at PDF.....

Surely they won't be as clueless as the Chinese members/Paki false flaggers are on that abomination of a forum.

To be honest I cant really tell the difference. You wont either, if you have really read those posters.

Vietnamese seem to be knowledgeable.

But of course, they appear to be debating on the Chinese view in a more detailed manner than most!

I wonder if it makes some of the foreign posters queasy.

Ah forum restructuring!! My pet topic in staff these days along with LB. we have stuff up for discussion. Have to iron things out. This topic of sub forum has been touched upon. We need our friends from Vietnam to post here a little more and we will see how it goes. I am sure we can have a sub forum for them if there is sufficient posting on Vietnam from our friends.

Lurker is hard at restructuring.

Many suggestions have been given and he is looking into it.

There is no doubt that the sub forums require a re-look to kept the forum in pace with the times and the nature of post and threads.

Sadly for many foreign posters, India continues to be a free country.

We will wait for Kapil Sibal to make internet like it is in China. I think that is his plans.

Even MMS was hinting towards end that when he said that the media should be more responsible!

Till that happens, India remains a free country!

I am sure those foreign posters couldnt care less whether India is free or not.
Consider that they dont even live in India. :rofl:Hence they are called "foreign posters".

It does not matter whether anyone cares or does not care.

The fact that they are here, indicates the whole sabchiz.

We give them their dues since this is a free country.

However, since it is a free country, we do not quite accept dictation from them to follow their ways even though they are prone to be attuned to bow to dictated norms.

They are entitled to follow their ways in their country and hopefully they respect our ways when with us!

Our country's ethos is brought out by this poem by our country's Poet Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
