We took back Siachen Glacier from Porkis in 1984 under Operation Meghdoot.

We were successfull in recapturing Haji Pir Passin 1965 in the Battle Of Haji Pir Pass (though this operation was conducted under a war).

Even the Porkis have tried to do the same in their failed attempts in Kargil 1999 and Operation Ababeel. Now the main question is "Can (and Should) India Use Salami Slicing Tactics To Take Back PoK and GB?". Recapture One Forward Post at a time some? And What scenarios can emerge if India conducts such kind of operations now?

Salami slicing is not possible in LoC the way China is doing if that's what you're asking
It is well fenced all along the LoC unlike the LaC where both sides send patrols according to their own interpretation of the map

LOC is part of treaty , agreed by both sides.

LAC on other hand is a joke , even the chinese wont follow their own official claim lines shown on their gov website. the mcmahon line was drawn with a thick pen on small paper , it doesnt follow any ground features.
portion of it in tawang is simply a horizontal line , like that dude when he got to the end simply said "FUCK IT".

besides u forget we are a dharmic - gandhian nation , :lehappy: so what u asking is simply not possible ,

Wow I am surprised the war-jingos are so pessimistic about this option!
As per the Shimla Agreement any territory taken on either side of the LOC is fair game. So theoretically every time Pakistan violates the ceasefires, we can is escalate the situation to such an extent that IA takes some posts like we took HajiPir pass (used to happen in their Afghan border).

Taking whole of Gilgit Baltistan may not be feasible, but we can definitely take strategic location & high points, that will put us in an advantageous position at the skirmishes... and if you get really lucky it might start a local war. Or atleast it'll stop their border-firing.

Yeah 5.6“ cow-son can't do it. But it can be done.
