A mock-up of BrahMos land-based anti-ship missile was featured at PH Army’s capability expo. Talks are underway w/ India for the possible purchase of 1 battery. The Army activated 1st Land-Based Missile System Battery in October in anticipation of its acquisition.

India signs pact with Philippines for supply of BrahMos missile
India and the Philippines have signed a key agreement to facilitate government-to-government deals on military hardware, including the potential supply of BrahMos cruise missiles.

The signing of the “implementing arrangement” for procuring of defence materials and equipment was announced by the department of national defense of the Philippines on its Facebook page.

The pact was signed by under-secretary Raymundo Elefante of the Philippines’ department of national defense and Indian ambassador Shambu Kumaran at Camp Aguinaldo, headquarters of the Filipino armed forces, on Tuesday.

Filipino defence secretary Delfin Lorenzana, who witnessed the signing ceremony, was quoted by The Straits Times as saying: “We are buying the BrahMos missiles.” He didn’t provide details of the procurement plans.

Lorenzana said the agreement would serve as a guide for India and the Philippines on “policies and procedures in the defence procurement”. It will also act as a “legal framework for the procurement under the government-to-government modality”, he said.

Ya he is crazy, he and his ministers are all same.
It has become a race to the bottom of craziness. I guess it's a Worldwide phonomena.

As to his treachery, he is a Chinese agent. He would do everything except go against Beijing. Even his own crazy supporters are deeply against China. But how they're able to reconcile the clear conflict between their views and Duterte's pandering to China is beyond me... Like Trump supporters Diterte supporters have no problem embracing irreconcileable ideas.

Trump was many thing but for him it was America first in his own way.

His problem was twitter and media rather than what he actually did .

Trump's problem was that he only cared about himself. He did not care about anything else. The same with Duterte. He only cared about himself and his family dynasty so he made a Faustian pact with China to win the Presidency and in return selling away our EZZ (which we already won from China in UNCLOS tribunal) and sovereignty.

The keyboard warriors never lack the courage when they safely sit behind the screen.
But your president has to deal with reality: no one is providing any meaningful support in the Sino-Phillipine dispute except lip work.

Going against Beijing? How?
Cutting the economic relationship with China which counted 29.3% (China+HK) of Philippine's overseas trade?
Or sending Philippine navy to sink a couple of Chinese maritime police ships?

The fact is: Standing in the front line against China has costed Philippine a lot but US refuses to reimburse it. The worst of worse is other Asian countries are benefited from this dispute at the cost of Philippine.

Duterte is not simply doing realpolitik, he is clearly in China's pocket (Ramos, Arroyo and Aquino did realpolitik). No President will ever scrap our country's greatest leverage in the SCS, the UNCLOS win without clear Chinese concessions, and certainly no President will stay silent in the face of PLAN harassment against our fishermen in our fishing grounds.

In fact, in the rare instances that the Government has lodged protest against Chinese actions it's other officials who did it and oftentimes Duterte undermines his own administration's protests. He is a f#cking traitor!

Not really... He didn't sold America to anyone but always kept the interest of the nation on top.

Whether Wall against mexican infiltration or ban on islamic immigration he was right on point. He brought ME on terms with Israel was making progress with NK and was handling Iran better than Obama ( who actually fcuked America along with many other nation.)

Your case is more of being cuckold where your leader finds no actual support from so called allies and gave up on china.

To take on china you will require citizens willing to go through tough times ahead for decades and powerful allies. American stance is of dubious nature right now so may be that's what prompted him to do so. In short you had a tricky situation and a short wired somewhat dumb leader.

Trump did not care who helped him or if he burned down the house as long as it kept him in power. Duterte is the same. He accepted Chinese money and malign influence in the last election and in return he bowed down his head to Xi so low that it's so pathetic.

I am not aware of philippines and it's politics but as far as Trump is concerned he was the better thing that happened to America specially after all the Obama did to bring America down promote terrorism and help china .

Biden is another cuck who has already started following what china dictates.
