Interesting question, but I'm not pissed about any country

Which countries are you pointing to?
Few months back chinks ran off like a bitch when even a small country like philippines told them to fuck off, and similar accidents keep happening like below,

Viets already have fucked china in the past, so it won't be the first time if they do it. Also, since it's not geopolitics thread move to chit chat if you are snarky remarks to make.

Vietnam Philippines?

When they add up and multiply by 10, they are no match for China

Still btfo'd china, that's the best part. They are not alone and they don't need to match china. This is the last post from me if you want to discuss geopol go to appropriate thread not here.

Brahmos is not just a weapons purchase for the Philippines, it permeates their defence strategy.

Indeed, just think: Which would mammoth, missile-armed PLA Navy ships fear more — the two Korean frigates the AFP is buying or, costing about the same, 150 BrahMos radar-guided supersonic anti-ship projectiles from India, mounted three on a truck, with over 300 km range, enough to cover our entire exclusive economic zone?
...
The late National Security Adviser and US Naval Academy graduate Roilo Golez had also pushed the BrahMos, based on Russian technology developed to counter no less than the most powerful armada ever, the US Navy.

India successfully tests new BrahMos version with higher indigenous content

The BrahMos missile is the fastest cruise missile in the world with a top speed of Mach 2.8 (nearly three times the speed of sound). The defence ministry said the missile tested on Thursday was equipped with advanced indigenous technologies

NEW DELHI: India on Thursday successfully tested a variant of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile with higher indigenous content and improved performance from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur off the Odisha coast, the defence ministry said.

“The flight test is a major milestone for BrahMos programme. The highly manoeuvrable missile cruised at supersonic speed for its maximum range and all mission objectives were met,” a statement from the ministry said. The launch was conducted by BrahMos Aerospace and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The BrahMos missile, an Indo-Russian joint venture, has a range of 290 km and is the fastest cruise missile in the world with a top speed of Mach 2.8 (nearly three times the speed of sound).

“The missile (tested on Thursday) was equipped with advanced indigenous technologies and followed a modified optimal trajectory for enhanced efficiency and improved performance. The missile with the modified control system has been fine tuned to achieve an enhanced capability,” the statement added.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh complimented the BrahMos, DRDO teams and industry for the successful flight test.

BrahMos was in the news last week after the Philippines confirmed it will acquire three batteries of the missile in a deal worth almost $375 million, a development expected to boost India’s efforts to become a major exporter of defence hardware.

BrahMos variants can be launched from land, air, sea and under water.

In 2020, the country upgraded its capabilities to keep a watch on the strategically-important Indian Ocean Region and deliver an offensive option swiftly, if necessary, with the air force basing its front-line Sukhoi-30 fighters in southern India for the first time.

The Su-30 fighter jets, based at Thanjavur air force station in Tamil Nadu, are equipped with the air-launched version of the BrahMos missile.

India has already developed an extended range BrahMos missile that can hit targets at a range of more than 400 km by tweaking the configuration of the existing weapon. Increasing the missile’s range became possible after India’s induction into the Missile Technology Control Regime in June 2016. India is also laying the groundwork to develop a high-range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, capable of striking targets more than 800 km away.

INDIAN NAVY SUCCESSFULLY FIRES EXTENDED RANGE BRAHMOS LAND ATTACK MISSILE

Posted On: 05 MAR 2022 7:24PM by PIB Delhi

The Indian Navy successfully demonstrated the accuracy of an extended-range land attack Brahmos supersonic cruise missile from the stealth destroyer INS Chennai, on 5th March, 2022. The missile hit its intended target with pinpoint accuracy after traversing an extended range trajectory and performing complex manoeuvres.

Both Brahmos missile and INS Chennai are indigenously built and highlight the cutting-edge of Indian missile and ship-building prowess. They reinforce the Indian Navy's contribution towards the Atma Nirbhar Bharat and Make in India endeavours.

This achievement establishes the Indian Navy's ability to strike even deeper and influence land operations further away from sea, when and where required.

Looks like this has aged well. Best thing about this is that we can still repeat the same thing, we will develop Brahmos hypersonic within 5 years.
Exactly why I stopped caring about timelines given by any Indian defence stuff. Indians love talking too much and hyping everything up. Yet maybe 5% of these actually stick to schedule

None of the defence projects across the world run on schedule, and while you are at tracking the delivery schedule how about check the funding schedule as well? AMCA ka tamboora Baja rahe hain but neither funds are sanctioned nor SPV is formed - phir 2025 mein uth ke bolenge ki Indian Defence is lackadaisical. Production and Factory culture of PSUs is garbage- agreed, but the development side delivers good bang for the buck they get. 20000 rupees per month mein CFD specialists dhoondhte yeh log

This is deadly. Attacking on land with pin point accuracy is impressive. May be useful in IOR and SCS but Little useful in India -Pak scenario as Brahmos fired from Indian soil can hit any target in Pakistan.
