Let me give you another heart attack.

By his logic, even by flying at low supersonic speed of Mach 3, the missile covered a whooping 1500 km.

So it is indeed Hypersonic Missile that was Tested... Will give severe Heart Burn to our Enemies Pakistan and China and even some Western countries especially US... 😊

I don't understand what means the datas in the pic.
Why some "waves" ?
The waves shown in the image are taken from a Magnetometer, a device to measure the magnetic wave at a given point, in this case, at Hyderabad and Alibag. You can think of this like the earth quake detectors where the seismic waves are plotted on the graphs.

Now, in the beginning of the image, you can see green is slightly ahead of red, indicating these waves came from HYD to ABG direction.

You can see the Hypersonic Spikes he is pointing to in the image. Apparently, these are formed because when an object goes hypersonic, it creates a plasma on its surface and this plasma emit magnetic waves. Which are detected in these Magnetometers.

This is what I don't get, if the detection is because of the missile going hypersonic, then there shouldn't be a spike, but rather a continuous peak throughout the duration of hypersonic travel.

He is talking about the disturbances in the force I suppose, not the range.
As per his tweet, the tentative time of firing the missile is 0130 UTC. As per the graph, it hit hypersonic speed at 0155 to 0157 UTC. For sake of simplicity lets consider it to be 0155 hrs UTC. Means from launch till reaching Hypersonic speed it travelled for 25 minutes. Now travelling at a speed of Mach 3 in 25 minutes it would have covered approximately 1525 km. Even at a conservative speed of 2.5 Mach, it would have travelled for 1286 km from launch till reaching Hypersonic speed.

OK. But why not a continuous signal? Does it means the missile used different speeds and/or accelerations? Or made several trips over the detector ?

It was a mistake apparently he said hypersonic instead of supersonic.

The earth's magnetic field itself is not constant. How could you expect a continuous signal in that case. Moreover the anomaly detection is done by a ground based station for a fast moving object. So the probability of accuracy is just above 0.

MAJOR BOOST TO MISSILE TECHNOLOGY: INDIA AND RUSSIA TO BUILD BRAHMOS-II HYPERSONIC MISSILE VERSION
In a meeting conducted in the last week of March 2023, the National Security Adviser of India (NSA), Ajit Doval and his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev, discussed the possibilities of the joint development of the Hypersonic Version of the BrahMos Missile also called BrahMos-II Missile.

Collaboration in defence sector and acquiring defence supplies from Russia were the primary aims of the meeting conducted on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The two NSAs had held a one-on-one meet that focused on connectivity issues, Pakistan Ukraine defence axis, payment mechanism along with security partnership and defence supplies from Russia that have been impacted by war.

The Russian Federation is much ahead of the United States of America and other powers of the Western Bloc especially in the field of hypersonic weapons. These missiles are considered to be a game changer in Modern Warfare. The Hypersonic missiles came to the limelight during the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War.

Hypersonic Weapon systems are advanced military technologies that can travel at extremely high speeds, typically Mach-5 or higher (which is five times faster than the speed of sound). They are extremely manoeuvrable and capable of changing courses and evade enemy defence.

Additionally, they are capable of carrying out launches from a variety of platforms including ground systems, aircrafts and submarines. They can carry nuclear as well as conventional warheads and are seen as a game changer in military operations especially in the terms of speed, range and ability to penetrate enemy defences.

The BrahMos-II is expected to be capable of travelling speeds up to Mach-7 and has a range of over 300 miles. It can be launched from land, sea and air.

In 2022, the Chairman of BrahMos Aerospace, Atul Rane had said that it was possible that the BrahMos-II missile is similar to Russian Zircon Missile.

Speaking to TASS (Russian News Agency), last year, Rane stressed that “the whole world is working on a hypersonic cruise missile. The US and China are developing hypersonic variants of their cruise missiles, but they do not have them yet. I have not seen anyone in the world having hypersonic cruise missiles. Russia said that it tested Zircon Hypersonic Anti-Ship Cruise Missile developed by NPO Mashinostroyeniya.”

According to Rane, the technology bricks for a hypersonic missile have been designed by both sides.

India is also a party to the MTCR (Missile Technology Control Regime) which allows the country to develop a missile with a range of 300km and weighing more than 500kg. However, it cannot be exported to other countries.

This is true in the case of BrahMos Missiles, they have a latest variant of which has a range of 500km and the export version is capped at 290 km to comply with MTCR restrictions of 300km range.

The BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile jointly developed by Russian-Indian BrahMos Missile Aerospace Company. The missile has been developed by NPO Mashinostroyeniya and India’s DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) .

The first trial of the missile was conducted in the year 2001. Various versions of the missiles have been sent and commissioned to Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air-Force.

Brahmos Missile: India will deal with the maritime threats of China and Pakistan, Brahmos missile will be deployed along the country's coasts
Brahmos Missile Deployment:
Former Navy Chief Vice Admiral Satish N Ghormode has said that the Indian Navy will deploy mobile coastal batteries equipped with the recently approved BrahMos supersonic cruise missile in coastal areas. These batteries will be deployed at maritime strategic locations to neutralize threats from both the east and west.

Recently, the Ministry of Defense had approved Mobile Coastal Missile Batteries and a contract in this regard was signed with BrahMos Aerospace Corporation on 30 March. Speaking to ANI a day after his retirement, Ghormade said, "We will be able to deploy next-generation mobile missile coastal batteries at strategic locations to monitor and neutralize any threat from the east or west." To be.

Delivery will start from 2027

BrahMos Aerospace will start their delivery from 2027. These batteries will be equipped with the world's fastest and deadliest supersonic cruise missiles. This will help the Indian Navy in multi-directional sea attack. That is, the Navy can simultaneously attack in all three directions, water, land and air. This will increase the strength of the Navy.

BrahMos missile comes in two variants

Surface-to-surface BrahMos missiles will be deployed on the coasts. It has two variants. First BrahMos Block-1 and second BrahMos-NG. That is, the transporter standing on the ground will be fired from the erector launcher (TEL). It is a type of truck in which silo-tower-like structures are made. BrahMos missiles come out from inside them. They can be carried anywhere. The direction of the missile can be fixed.
