Looks like they wants to get out of there in one piece, with their tail between their legs.
Whatever.. but makes sense.. There is simply no point in staying, as long as they depend on Pakistan for logistics..
But, I suspect Pakistan to do some rash moves.. here against NATO forces .. to delay the withdrawal..

hopefully current or future GoI don’t get emotionally attached to any buildings they have built for afghan govt, worst case scenario in the future if Taliban blackmail GoI that they are gonna blast those buildings for something in return. Let them do whatever they want.

last thing we need is a repeat of Baghdad market - chicken - hindu trader story.

And also we have to ensure that hijacking like Kandahar cannot take place

Sir I think this will be my amateur question but please don't laugh ,can we deploy our para sf and garuds for anti hijacking roles in Tajikistan farkhor air base in order to prevent any hijacking like ic 814 , if any hijacking take place our para sf can perform anti hijacking roles whereas garuds can hold the ground

Times were simpler, you can just massacre every living thing and pile up their heads, then the next town will simply surrender hearing your brutality. No worries about human rights violations, international image, war crimes, just kill and plunder.

-Anti-Hijacking comes under NSG ambit and they come under home ministry which is a internal security agency.
-Permanently deploying in foreign lands highly specialised troops for something that may or may not happen, would be a wastage of resource.
-if even such a scenario exists, such a large body of people cannot be extracted without host country's help.
-More importantly Indian security/diplomatic establishment is risk averse, they would seek traditional methods of problem solving.

so basically chances are slim for your scenario.

We cannot ensure that. What we can ensure however is a strong stated policy of not negotiating with terrorists and following it up accordingly with the use of maximum force on hijacked planes.

I don't know what members think however it was fruitless effort & prolonged stay would have not changed anything for US. Withdrawal is good from US perspective, not that great from Afghan govt perspective. All the money to Afghan politicians will stop and they will have to fend themselves against taliban.

It may not be that good from Indian perspective as well unless it also means US loses interest in funding and arming rogue state Porkistan.

That's probably the best thing that comes out of this. US basically doesn't need Pakistan anymore. Now that the Gulf Sunni nations don't give a shit about them either anymore, it's basically China and maybe Turkey are their only allies.

US will begin our final withdrawal (of troops) beginning May 1 this year. We will not conduct a hasty rush to the exit. Taliban should know that if they attack us as we draw down, we will defend ourselves and our partners with all tools at our disposal: US President Joe Biden

We'll be out of Afghanistan before we mark the 20th anniversary of that heinous attack on September 11th—but we will not take our eye off the terrorist threat: US President Joe Biden

We will ask other countries in the region to do more to support Afghanistan specially Paskistan, Russia, China, India and Turkey. They all have a significant stake in the stable future of Afghanistan: US President Joe Biden

Why is Turkey on the list. I am not sure even if Turkey shares border with Afghanistan or not. And the one state missing from the list is Iran which has a long border with both afghans and Pakis.

Are India, China, Pakistan, Iran.... run the same as the USA? No. People have different beliefs, needs and systems. Asians know how to deal with Asians so better to let those (remember, just using "those" to separate myself from Asians because I am not Asian NOT insulting any Asian) Asians do their thing.
Americans, like the "British" (are those men actually ancient Georgians?) and Russians before them, were clueless about what to do in Afghanistan.

China has specific interest for trade to central asia and eurpoe , pakistan have a islamist fetush for afgans , Iranian are too much territorial hungry , india want influence in region and surround porkies , russia want a stable neighborhood so islamist fanatics Don't influence its vassals .

American are too much pricky , meddling in others affairs , they just tried to satisfy ego and harmed themselves

Are we going to see Jihadi action in Xinjiang province sooner ? does CIA wants Taliban to gain control of Afghan so that it spreads faster into Western borders or Uyighur areas ?

China may send peacekeeping force to Afghanistan after US troops leave, observers say
  • Beijing is concerned terrorist groups will prosper if there is a lack of stability in the region, experts say
  • US President Joe Biden says all remaining US troops in Afghanistan will pull out by September 11
Beijing may consider sending a peacekeeping force to
Afghanistan
if the security situation in the South Asian country poses a threat to the neighbouring Chinese province of Xinjiang after
American troops pull out
, analysts said.
US President
Joe Biden
said on Wednesday that he would withdraw all remaining US troops – about 2,500 – from Afghanistan by September 11, the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack in New York.

The withdrawal may pose a threat to Afghanistan’s security and stability, which could spill over into Xinjiang and disrupt China’s counterterrorism efforts

In 2018, China trained Afghan troops and helped set up a mountain brigade. The training took place in China and the aim of the brigade was to counter possible attacks by al-Qaeda and
Islamic State
.

“The security forces of the Afghan government are not capable of ensuring Afghan security,” said Sun Qi, an international relations specialist at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences.

“The situation in Afghanistan might go further into chaos in the future. Cross-border crime, drug trafficking and smuggling of firearms may proliferate,” he said.

Unlikely they will send troops after the fiasco of Russian and Americans, it will be foolish to enter that quagmire. To intervene for what purpose also? They don't want to enter 21st century
