Indians should just abandon that country and go elsewhere. It very depressing seeing Indians lining up for visas at the Australian embassy to get education from a Racist country. Once they see lebanese and middle eastern people destroy there country. Then, these aussies would really appreciate out decent behavior.
Abandoning is never a solution.Real solution lies in treating the Aussies same way as chinese do...like they did with Australian citizen Stern Hu, rio tinto employee.or like BCCI did with australian board after monkeygate scandal.Wat india need is to show Aussies there real place in world power structure then see the change how soon they will lick boots like british these days are doing.

That day is not far . Very soon Australia wil come to India to do nuclear trade with us as now they are feeling left out in great nuclear party in India. We did right thing by neglecting Australia for nuclear fuels. Also Australian will be coming to us for security in Indian Ocean.

Somebody should please tell these 'convicts' to shut the fv$k up or risk facing electrocution themselves- in the electric chair.

And btw, that blog post was written by a Pakistani misserab. Pay not attention to him. Mauritius is a beautiful country, with a lot of respect for Indians and many powerful Indians in Parliament.

Besides, they're an ally and a protectorate state.

Thanks for pointing that out.

If you notice in online blogs, YouTube etc., most of the anti-India posters are from Pakistan and some from China. I think they are enjoying fuelling the passions when they themselves are seen as potential terrorists the world over.

While racism should not and must not be condoned in any form, please remember that Indian students in Australia are themselves no paragons of virtue. Many of them land in Australia on student visas on pretext of taking up coursework in disciplines such as "culinary science", manicuring, pedicuring, hair styling and god knows what not. Many Indian students work as taxi drivers, delivery boys, grocery store clerks etc often without requisite paperwork. The problem became so acute that both Australia and UK have chosen to discontinue granting student permits for such studies and rightfully so. Combined with similar actions from the the Pakis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, folks from the middle east, Philippines and China, there's a backlash, which allows some nut cases to justify their bigoted views and attacks on any "foreigner"

Oh and yes incidents such as Ashfield gang rapes only exacerbate the situation. In this case it was the Pakis, but for Aussies it is difficult to separate the lot on the street.

Perhaps Indian government would do well to screen the kind of people we let out of this country before jumping at others throats. If we are outraged at their treatment, we must be willing to bear the shame for their actions as well.

Disciplinary action follows:

Racist emails: 4 Australian cops sacked for joking about Indian's electrocution

MELBOURNE: Four Australian police officers were sacked and disciplinary action initiated against 15 others in connection with the circulation of racist emails wherein they joked about the electrocution of an Indian.

While four have been sacked, one has been demoted, another five have been fined up to 3000 dollars and placed on 12-month good behaviour bonds for their involvement in the case.

Nine officers will front the disciplinary panel on October 12 and October 15, with six to be heard the following week, 'Herald Sun' reported today. Two officers quit rather than face the secret hearings.

Yesterday, top police officers were caught in a racist e-mail scandal joking about the electrocution of an Indian train passenger and suggesting that it could be "a way to fix the Indian student problem" in Melbourne.

The emails that were probed by the Ethical Standards Department's Operation Barrot contain pornographic, homophobic, racist and violent material.

The Victoria police officers circulated sickening video footage showing the death of the man, who was travelling on the roof of a crowded train in India, the daily reported yesterday.

Victoria police had said that it would resume disciplinary hearings this week into the circulation of pornographic and racist emails within the force.

The newspaper said it was also discovered that some of the force's highest-ranked officers have been implicated in the scandal, which also involves pornographic material.

Three superintendents were nabbed during an investigation into the circulation of inappropriate emails through the police computer system. Several inspectors have also been caught.

State Chief Commissioner Simon Overland and Premier John Brumby had condemned the actions of the police involved.

Overland described the material as "disturbing, offensive and gross", while Brumby said the racist e-mail was "contrary to the views and values at the heart of the Victorian community".

Now, a very good comment by an Indian in the Times of India blog:

The Australian Govt. has taken stromg action against the cops who were circulating racist jokes about Indians. Will the Indian Govt., which has protested to Australia against such jokes, follow the example of the Australian Govt. and take action against its own officers who circulate jokes about Sardar jis?

Indian attacked with beer bottles in Australia

MELBOURNE: In another attack on an Indian in Australia, a group of over 10 teenagers attacked an Indian man at a fast food joint on Chapel Street.

He was smashed with empty beer bottles on his head at least thrice when he protested against derogatory remarks made by the teenagers, who also used aggressive body language and called Indians 'curry munchers.'

The Indian man was taken to hospital by two of his friends who were accompanying him. He is still recovering from injuries on his head and face at a hospital.
