Because of the Russia-Georgia war, Russia, Iran and India are pretty much stuck with Azerbaijan for future trade routes. Us openly taking a side in this conflict will do more harm than good. MEA should just release a normal diplomatic statement like it usually does.

MEA doesn't even need to take sides against Azerbaijan, if it's important to us for whatever reason. They can at least condemn Turkey for it's interference. They won't even do that, till now at least.
