Armenia operates Russian weapons. They have a decent stockpiling of basic weapons such as T-72s, AK-47s, Iglas MANPADs, various ATGM, ect. The Armenian have held of the Azeris because the Armenians are better trained and more motivated.

France has done nothing other then provide moral support. Maybe that will change but so far Armenia is on its own.

France is at odds with Turkey everywhere Turkey is moving. Let’s see. Spying on Turkey‘s communications is one thing we do ... perhaps some valuable info can be shared with Armenia.

The Armenians really impress me. A country of lions.

This is what happens when a your population is assimilated into alien tribes over the centuries, then a 100 years ago 3 million of you are killed, and you are all that remains on the land of your ancestors.

What exactly are India’s stakes in this conflict other than wishing peace?

All I am saying is that we have to take decisions and stand with what we believe to be right. Gandhi did more than that without getting involved in conflicts. Even he chose sides at times (many times actually). We don't have to have something at stake if all we want do is wish for peace. We have to take a stand based on our principles that we would if we were in a similar situation ourselves, not necessarily choose a side, but we may should we find someone to be in right or someone to be in the wrong. Only making peaceful wishes shows that we are an amateur and have no locus standi when it comes resolving problems of any kind. There is no point asking for a permanent seat in UN for as wishful nation.

Why should India has to show its strength to the world like a school boy trying to be a man?

If you would rather be a boy for the remaining of your life like the Sanaks, you be so but let India become a man of mettle. When there is a conflict or crisis within your borders or beyond, we have to express our stand and offer solution/s that we believe is justified and righteous. You play the baby boy without a stand, I will be the one that takes stand beneficial to nation and humanity whenever I get the chance. No offense.

Why should India get involved in this conflict?

We have to get involved everywhere we can involve ourselves. Necessary for development and growth of human kind. Or be at mercy of those outgrowing you/us.

Because those drones fly low and use mountains to shield themselves from radar. Most radars disregard smaller drones as clutter or birds because they fly at similar speed and altitude to birds. Even the Israeli iron dome has failed to intercept hundreds of missiles.

The Armenians have very few and mostly old air defenses but they have actually done an admirable job with what they have. Many drones/aircraft have been shot down. The Armenians have the heart of a lion.

I always feel that the patriotic citizens of a country should form some secret societies which will keep an eye on enemy institutions both external as well as internal. If good brains with money form these societies ,a lot can be achieved.
Just imagine a secret society of nationalist Hindus doing research on a lot of newer technologies including weapons which can be used when time comes.

When the politicians and bureaucracy controls the institutions a lots of ifs and buts come into play. Too many are compromised .Its difficult to take big decisions.

Getting back on topic, Armenia's claims seem modest and Azerbaijan's overblown. What is the track record of Armenia in claiming victories?
Azeris are definitely jingos but what about Armenia?

The total expenditure on the military is actually more than 1.5 Billion as 800 million comes as donation and as subsidiary from the Military Equipment supplier.

Ya'll Nibbiars 300 plus, 1,000 plus Paki Regular troops were sent to the war, Syrian mercenaries 1,000 plus as 5,000 plus syrian mercenaries were in the war, Azerbaijan easily 450 plus. Till now 107 plus drones have been shot down, 11 helicopter shot down, 6 Planes shot down, 200 Plus armoured Vehicles, 500 plus Vehicles destroyed. 20 to 30 Armoured Vehicles captured. Uknown numbers of Artillery captured.

Apart from Pak sending their troops (OSINT indicates one brigade less battalion), there have also been reports of Pakistan and Turkey sending hundreds of terrorists to fight against the Armenians!! These terrorists are being sent to Nagorno-Karabakh via Syria and Libya, already affected by civil war.

These mercenary terrorists are being paid huge sums of money by Turkey and Pak for fighting against the Christian country of Armenia in favour of the Muslim country Azerbaijan.

Sending mercenaries is cheaper than sending troops as 1,800 for three months. You dont have to fund training and other cost. Only basic combat kit is given so again cost saving. In just 50 million you are waging war. Plus mercenaries get to keep the loot.

It's a dilemma for India! Who to support? India has good ties with both Armenia and Azerbaijan. The North-South international transport corridor goes from Mumbai to Chabahar via Azerbaijan to Moscow, something crucial for India's connectivity plans.

And then when it comes to Armenia, it backs India on some key fronts like Kashmir. The Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan has clearly stated, "In the Kashmir issue we fully defend the Indian position and it is our firm position."

I think we need to keep off the game being played there - at least for the present.

True but we can do max during peacetime right now it's Russia who needs to decide. They can finish it within days with Armenia in commanding position.

Our role is I guess limited to medical aid food etc for now.
