According to reports, another senior Afghan Taliban leader was killed in Quetta city of Pakistan.
The Taliban leader, Mullah Salim was reportedly injured in an attack by his own security guards in Quetta city, and he succumbed to his injuries on Monday night.

This comes as Taliban commanders were assassinated by unknown gunmen in Quetta city of Pakistan late in December last year, which followed by the assassasination of the top Haqqani Network leader near Islamabad in November.
The Taliban leader Noorullah Hotak was shot dead in Quetta city on December 26 last year, while another senior Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Malik was shot dead by gunmen on 29 December.

Karzai fired him to appease Pakistan. He has started his own grassroots political party. I would expect him back in some capacity if Abdullah wins the April elections.

Time to move to Karachi

The jury is still out as to who is responsible. ISI might be killing Taliban leaders talking to the government. In fact, I read somewhere that 18 leaders have been killed in the past two years in Quetta. NDS might be doing it, but they are respect executive authority over them so that makes it unlikely. It is most likely personal feuds. Doesn't matter as long as they are being eliminated.

well brother , taliban is a terrorist organization . iran doesnt care that they have taken their arms to fight USA (the biggest enemy of ours) , what we care about is extremism and terrorism in which taliban is a symbol of !!

taliban is security threat to all regional countries from india to iran . so yes , iran will stick to afghanistan and we'll support their reconstruction .

but returning of taliban to any sort of power is not accepted by iran and other regional countries . what we eye is our cooperation in building our ally afghanistan .

there are unbelievably too much issues that we can solve by cooperation between iran and india
