Mk 1 itself will compete with f 35 , mk 2 will all together different beast .
Yup. Not in terms of the processing power or maybe even avionics, but otherwise, yeah. Role will be the same. Strike aircraft. Same as Rafale.

Why not processing power and avionics , if iaf wanted a dogfighter , supermaneuvarable aircraft they would have asked for it , they are pretty specific about stealth and avionics , we can develop good mission computer , it can be a little more bulky but could do the role , also fly by optics will help , also lrde are developing better ew suite which will be tested , modified and upgraded from tejas mk 2 program.

Aur ye hai Mentos AMCA!

The AMCA Mark2 renders are to be based on these predicted modifications.
Larger engines with serrated nozzles... larger air intakes (both in combination giving the fuselage a coke-bottle shape that better adheres to the Whitcomb's area rule)... And final the cockpit extended forward, allowing larger fuel tanks despite having side weapon bays and/or option of a 2nd cockpit for WSO to operate the CATS drones (like in Tejas MAX).

(AESA) radars are flat plates that can scan up to sixty degrees in any direction from directly ahead of them. By mounting an AESA radar on a swashplate, the swashplate angle is added to the electronic scan angle. The typical swashplate angle chosen for this application is 40 degrees, enabling the radar to scan a total angle of 200 degrees out of 360.
sir why aren't we opting them,i read and found that it is maintenence intensive is that the reason

Can't be assertained for certainty as we don't know the internal fuel weight... With 12t empty weight & assuming 65-98kN engine power, T/W is as follows for all the values of claimed/rumoured amounts of internal fuel;

4t > 1.23
5t > 1.15
6.5t > 1.06

@Annaa edited my post (surprise surprise).
Plz recheck.
And using more powerful engine 110kn

1.37, 1.29 & 1.18 respectively. Ignore the 1st one tho... Mark2 will definitely have to carry atleast 6ton fuel for its more powerful engines, so its loaded weight would be between 18-19t.

For Mark1, I have come up with a calculation.
We know AMCA's empty weight =12t... external load = 6.5t... internal bay capacity = 2t... MTOW = ±25t... So internal fuel should be 25–(12+6.5+2) = 4.5t
So, the likely T/W value of AMCA Mark1 is 1.19! 🧐

I don't have the data for the same to give an opinion

If the data you gave is credible and calculations correct then it can be used till official info on the same is released
