Looks like DSI intake is present.
DSI intake and targeting pod was always present in aero india models

Methinks they are trying to go with tried and tested stuff. Trying to go for DAS and EOTS this quick is stupid. But i thought they would go for das and eots after developing irst , dcmaws for mwf;targeting pod is yet to come iirc
Wouldnt be a problem honestly if chinese dont field j20's in the tibet front and if j35 didnt get potentially commisioned before type -003 which means start of exports and pakis get a 5th gen before us but yeah this is a bummer.
2035 for production.
2 squadrons of the above mk1 amca(2x18 = 36)
If we assume 8 per year starting from 2037,
2036-4
2037-8
2038-8
2039-8
2040-8
2040+ is when a proper 5th gen in all aspects(amca mk2) is gonna get inducted.

I too think AMCA Mk-1 will enter service only after 2035....I won't be surprised if it is pushed to 2040

If AMCA is going to use IRST pod similar to Tejas Mk2. Then why are they developing this one.

The previous iteration of AMCA did feature a pod similar to what we see in the video.

Maybe the future prototypes will feature an EOTS pod. Once we have a system mature enough to be installed in the AMCA.

Possibility of Pakistan getting early access to Chinese 5th gen fighters may force India to opt for F-35s: Japanese defense think-tank

Our defence procurement is still Pakistan driven! Hope their economy stays on the ventilator forever so they are never able to afford anything.

2035 is the proposed timeline for AMCA Mk. 2
The AMCA will be a next generation game changer with highly stealth features, 360 degree Enhanced Situation Awareness, internal weapon carriage etc. The LCA Mk2 aircraft is slated for production by 2027-2028 and AMCA by mid-2035.
HAL CMD(November 2021)

Mr. Madhavan said the prototype of the aircraft is likely to be ready by 2026 and its production could start by 2030. He added that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was working on the timelines for the project.
HAL CMD(Jan 2021)
3 yrs between first flight and introduction lol

Addressing a press conference ahead of Air Force Day on October 8, Mr Bhadauria also said the Defence Research and Development Organisation has set a target of 2027 to roll out an advanced medium combat aircraft (AMCA).
Former air chief rks bhaduria(oct 2020)

Deodhare presented an incremental development plan for indigenous manned combat aircraft, in which the current Tejas Mark 1 would be followed by the improved Mark 1A, the AMCA Mark 1, the navy’s “twin engine deck-based fighter” (TEDBF) and finally the AMCA Mark 2 by 2035.
Girish Deodhare head of ADA.(jan 2021)
This is the only source i can find for your claim. When mk 1 is gonna be rolled out on 2026, they expect 2035 to be mk2.In the source it also does not say whether 2035 is roll out, first flight or introduction.
Imo 2035 is when mk2 will roll out. Why?

If a deal is signed, Safran said that it could potentially take until the end of the decade for the new engine to be developed.
Author's own opinion based on a third party(safran)
If 2030 is when the new engine goes online then 2035 is pretty fine for a rollout or first flight with 2040+ for production for mk2

Anyway with this 2026,27,28(anywhere within these years) is when the roll out as well as first flight will happen.

Iss video mey AMCA pey IRST aur targetting pod dekh kar thoda darr lagg raha hai, pata chala apna AMCA mk1 KF-21 jaisa nikla toh mey honestly roh dunga
afaik tejas mk2 is getting improved dcmaws(360 deg ir sensors) so it is not possible for amca to not have eodas , eots(integrated a2g targeting pod) can be doubtful but not eodas(360 deg ir sensors for a2a)

f-35 eots as well as das does the work of a normal irst + FLIR(targeting pod) + dcmaws and even more stuff. The former and the latter might be doing more work as well but i cant be bothered to look it up. DRDO has to master the latter 3 before it makes the former two.

Honestly f35 development costs have been so high that we should be glad with what we are getting.Theirs 40 billion vs our 2 billion

eodas is name given to irst system of f35(it has 6 sensors spread across the body)

In an interview in the last held aero india it was said by ADA official that tejas mk2 will have improved version of dc maws on tejas mk2 , that means spherical coverage for tejas mk2 , technically ir sensor used in MAWS is dual band and ir sensor in irst support 3 band ,so if we can implement dual band ir spherical coverage in tejas mk2 why should implementing 3 band ir sensor be a problem on amca

problem would be eots (which is name given to targeting pod of f35) , drdo has not yet made a targeting pod as far as i know(i maybe wrong) , so eots for amca will be a challenge from technical pov
