Afghanistan is't buffer , it was India...The kingdom like Kabul ,Zubal ,kapisa ..all these are India.

All the hindukush(parijat) mountain and land east and south of it is India . So by modern geographical standard half of the Afghanistan is India.

Must be a humiliating defeat for Alexander , after invading almost half of earth successfully he was forced to retreat..That clears the fact why he didn't fought afrer that anywhere
