Post #49...this C17 stayed at Zhuhai Airport just for one night...it just sent the auxiliary equipmente for the UAE AF 'Knight' aerobatic team ..

Y20 AND C17------c17 is UAE AirForce' aerobatic team's support plane,not from USA directly

they are part of AirFoce-one auxiliary fleet in the tour of the APEC summit ,Beijing...

11.11 --Nov,11th is the PLA Air Force Day which happens to be the Openning day of Air China 2014....so this year , PLA AF is going to celeberate his birthday in Zhuhai in stead of Beijing...

PLAAF brought loads of commissioned Weapon Sys here and quite some of them are displayed for the very first time...

1 . Three Active SAM sys

红旗9 HQ-9 LRSAM

红旗12 HQ-12 MRSAM

红旗6 HQ-6 MR/SRSAM-AA Gun System--- for the first time ever the ,HQ6 SRSAM+ 730 terminal defense system is officially revealed!-- the whole battalion might consist of 3 Hq6 launers and 3 730 Gatling Guns...

in the same display area, another SRSAM or terminal defense missile sys was displayed...this one is still under development .

FB10 SRSAM / Terminal Defense Missile sys -- we thougt this sys is the Land-base varient "RAM" alike system which is for the interception of PGWs and Cruise Missiles. there are other two simliar system here- SkyDragon-12 and FK1000 ...but they follow the Russian tech routine. this fire-forget missile would be more adanced and expensive than those kinds.

unlike the previous events, COMAC sents the second Serial Production plane- No.106 for the Demo flight...this is eighth ever built plane and the sixth flying ARJ21, it will be hand over to ChengDu Airlines within this year...the commercial flights would begin next year...
