ZHUHAI, GUANGDONG

China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (namely Airshow China) is the only international aerospace trade show in China that is endorsed by the Chinese central government. It features the display of real-size products, trade talks, technological exchange and flying display. Since 1996, the show has been successfully held in Zhuhai in every even-number year for eight sessions. Airshow China 2012 will take place from Nov. 13-18, 2012.

These days it is not easy to sell any plane regardless how good or how afforable it is. Rafale is a great plane, isn't it, we pretty much all agree. Yet France has not managed to sell a single piece yet, at least nothing inked yet. India could very well be the only customer for this jet, even that is only an assumption.

With the cold war over and lots of dictators deposed, the fighter jet market is extremely tight. China may not find another customer for FC-1, it won't change the fact that it is a great little plane, better than anything IAF currently has except for Su30MKI, certainly better than India's current fleet of old Mirage2000s and Mig29s.

With the cold war over and lots of dictators deposed, the fighter jet market is extremely tight.

The cold war may re-emerge. Deposed dictators are replaced by new ones. The tight market may loosen up, I believe.
