We had ASAT missile in our arsenal from 2012 but we conducted test only after China meddled with our RISAT satellite in 2019 to show that next time they do anything to our satellites their satellites too won't be spared....
So, you are accusing Indian leaders were holding back India's technology development for 7 years?

When the missile and other sub-system ready, your leaders just refuse to allow the test which is key step for Indian scientists to collect the data and improve the whole system further.

So we always disclose our capabilities only after 5 to 10 years after we have already inducted and tested that capabilities.

Also one more thing Agni 5 is 8000kms MIRV capable missile which can hit anywhere in China and whole of Europe, Africa and Australia too. With Agni 6 we will bring the Americas too in our range.

One more thing Agni 5 and 6 are actually Surya 1 and 2 missiles which were in making from 1994 itself. So it should have been in service from 2010/12 itself. Which is when we conducted first test of Agni 5.... 😊😊
Oh, boy, this 2020s not 1960s, you just can't hide a launch of ballistic missile from those radars and satellites. Nobody is sitting there waiting India to disclose its tests. Your claim is just laughable.

Who said Indian leaders or successive governments refused to allow tests..
All new missile tests are done in the garb of older missiles name like every new missile in India is tested in the name of Dhanush missile check every year Dhanush missile is tested at least 2 to 3 times. Why India needs to test a proven missile so frequently. Also with advance super computers and advance simulation software at our disposal need for testing the system is less but definitely it's done under the garb of older missiles like Agni 6 can be tested as Agni 5 which was similarly tested as Agni 3 and Agni 1 tested as Dhanush... 😊

Remember, People who are in business know that India had capabilities to make nuclear weapons from 1974, we had nukes in 1987 during BRASSTACKS excercise which was first excercise under WMD protocol. By 1994 we had 450 nuclear weapons which should now be more. But according to UN we have 120 weapons Only. Do you think our leaders or government didn't allowed this or don't know about our capabilities... 😊

We have at least 3 SSBN in water if not 4 but government declared only 2. Do you think our leaders don't know or stopped the testing of 3rd and 4th SSBN. Larsen and toubro delivered 4 hulls so where are other 2. They also delivered S5 hulls which are now in making... 😊

Yes it's 2020s and we can't hide much. Precisely the reason why China started crying about Agni 5 being a 8000kms range missile and not what India claims to be 5000kms range missile. Also the structure of missile itself tells that it's MIRV missile... 😊

Also the reason for Indian Army going BADASS against PLA at Galwan knowing fully about our capabilities... 😊

Even I wouldn't have supported this claim but knowing our nation which always downplay the things
Like we had developed nukes in 1974
Point is not hiding from other establishments but not bringing things in public
Other nations knew about it but hiding if from world population and other political figures of respective countries

We have no cppcc to generate the ground support for the party dear comrade no smoking

Ccp has done immense work in cooperative democracy with a focused agenda to continue the socialist construction of the Chinese country .
It's not same in comrade, we go to many directions

Every country downplay the things, that is normal operation. The level of India's downplay is on par with US.
Come on, did you see Soviet (not Russia) or China publish their missile picture one day after first test?

Point is not hiding from other establishments but not bringing things in public

For what? To hide the fact that India is the superpower so strong that everyone is scared to talk about?

In the case of long range BMs our western partners get jittery if there is talk of a missile that has a longer range than what is required to deter Pakistan and china.

West won't like it especially the public
Then things will not be like what want
If downplaying few things can make relations better
Again I am not sure about Agni 6
But I believe every country which wants to grow and not irritate west so many countries downplay their capabilities in order to to something good for the people

Your western partners don't rely on India newspaper to tell them what the range of Indian missile is.

Again reiterating India already has and deployed MIRV missiles. Any idiots especially from across the borders still has doubts should see the writing on the wall with so many subtle revelations by India.... 😊😊

@no smoking

You said that I am accusing Indian leaders holding tests...
Indian defence establishment never admitted MIRV missiles in Indian arsenal but can you deny such strong evidences and now subtle revelations by government of India through selective leaks....😊

MIRV requires 3 parts of technologies:
1. BUS
2. An accurate & small enough RV
3. A small enough and powerful enough nuclear core

The last 2 are the key parts which need fully tested. So far, we haven't hear any report suggesting that yet except PPT and fanboys' claim.

I guess you will that India already has tested the last 2 but not declare it, right?

RVs don't manoeuvre so accuracy is not a criteria unless we are talking about MaRV technology. An RV goes under free fall similar to a satellite ejected from a rocket at the opportune moment, and in correct direction and speed to enter the desired orbit. RVs are ejected in similar fashion. So accuracy is required in managing multiple payload ejections which is similar to a multiple satellite launch.
The second part is definitely more challenging as it requires fitting more nuclear devices in a compact space. But considering India's long history with nuclear tech I hope they would have figured it by now.

For first 2 Both Bus and RV are already tested and proven.

For small sized nukes, There's something called computer simulations of nuclear weapons and all advance countries design their new weapons using that technology and we do have robust computer softwares that simulates nuclear weapons design and it's detonation behaviour.
Also as a part of off set for Rafale fighter deal France gave access to their computer simulations to DRDO for further refinements. These softwares are so powerful you don't need the weapons to actually test on field and can directly send to production.

Also thank God you haven't heard Indian nuke as the only place you will hear it, it'll be across the border in either Pakistan or China if anyone of this country mess with India.... 😊

Did DRDO get a software license or just used the french computers to run simulations? If the latter, that was a pretty dumb move. That telecasted to the french intelligence how sophisticated Indian nukes were and how advanced the indian nuke designs were.

We need to develop our own software to design our nukes so countries do not know how our designs work.

we have our own sim software, it was made from the data gathered from our nuke tests.
rrcat is doing further research regarding this.

for reference :):)

So far, the RV that India tested is only for the existing proved nuclear core.
If India develops a new smaller nuclear core in the future, then she will will need a new RV.

For small sized nukes, There's something called computer simulations of nuclear weapons and all advance countries design their new weapons using that technology and we do have robust computer softwares that simulates nuclear weapons design and it's detonation behaviour.

Another foolish fantasy.
Firstly, computer simulation software is only a software designed based on existing knowledge. If you want to design a new nuclear explosive device, you need a series of powerful simulation machines, such as Laser megajoule in France. So, India need to bring her own new design to France facility to test. Will India do that? I don't think India is that stupid.

Secondly, computer simulation software is running on the database built upon the Fance's past nuclear tests. Unless France allows India to access to her database, the France's software won't work for India. Will France do that? They are not that stupid either.

The best that a France simulation software can do for India is to show Indian scientists what a nuclear simulation will need.

Also thank God you haven't heard Indian nuke as the only place you will hear it, it'll be across the border in either Pakistan or China if anyone of this country mess with India.... 😊
Too bad you can't use nuke.

This is for the information of all reader.

At the time of Agni V testing, V K saraswat had said that Agni V's range can be increased. He said that make it 6000 km if you want, make it 7000 km if youu want or increase it as per your requirement. In an another interview, Avinash Chander had said that increasing range is the least chelling area.

That is old information, or let's say right information for any missile of any country: reducing the payload to increase the range.
The problem is the payload is decided by the size and weight of warhead or RV, which is much more costly and complicated than developing a new missile.

Well, a lot of projects in India have been held back or dumped by Indian governments because of expected international political repercussions.

That isn't an unbelievable or new thing.

That maybe true but where is international political repercussions against this anti-satellite test?
Chinese did it in 2007;
American did it again 2008.
And there was no international treaty banning this kind of test.

What kind of international political repercussions was Indian government expecting? Was Indian government really such a coward? or was Mr Modi such a coward? I don't think so.
