It's the sensors and its integration with the jet that matters. The graphics in the display unit can be developed by any small IT firm in our country.

Pretty much... Although to be noted, some of those in MWF & Mark1A are supposed to become attached by clipping & clamping systems instead of rivets for ease of maintenance.

I thought that the improvements involved replacing retaining screws that were time consuming to do up/undo with clipping & clamping systems.

Unclear at the moment. Maybe those are unclipping buttons, no way to tell.

So what is HAL going to say 1st August if the 4 FOC aircraft promised are not transferred to an IAF establishment by then? Will HAL say they are late completing the aircraft or will they say IAF is late in preparing to receive them? Or will nothing be said by either party since that would avoid an admission of failure?

Don't know about it anything , nobody could tell this , whatever be the reason they are ready in hangar , it's upto iaf when they wanna receive ? Hope sooner

MWF is a great design and loaded with all goodies. We should get it done as soon as possible. It is a beautifully optimized cranked delta design with great aerodynamics comparable to Gripen NG. Its electronics are top notch. Uttam MK2, Tarang radar warning receivers, Mayavi (Or may be something similar) EW, IFRTSS etc. We will get everything comparable to best in class. onboard oxygen generator. No doubt IAF will fell in love with this monster.
