Ah , what to all our minds , guessd right .

If India's fifth generation fighter comes from Russia, India can say bye bye 👋 to strategic partnership with Uncle Sam, because this will wed Indian Air Force to Russian maal for another forty years, and India will lose whatever support it has in US Congress.. Best way forward, is going for Indian fighters+ Rafale..
India needs US to juice its economy, just like US needs India, against China.. We should buy Russian only when it comes to SAM systems, and hypersonic cruise missiles, which is their Forte..

UPA paid $300 million to Russians for Su-57 program. And these bloody corrupt Russians wanted another $30 fucking billion to deliver around 100 Su-57 with no transfer of technology. Imagine if that $300 million was poured into Kaveri development. We should never again depend on Russians for fighter aircrafts, aircraft carriers, helicopters, warships, submarines etc. Some systems like S400, cruise missiles are okay for now for operational readiness. In the long term we better reduce our dependence on this corrupt country. I can't believe how they jacked up the price of aircraft carrier from $900 million to $3.2 freaking billion and how that scumbag cum slave MMS meekly agreed to it.

Russia is a declining power. All their military industrial complex have an inertia from USSR days. When it comes to advanced weapons they will surely fall behind even Chinese in 20 years since they are busy buying real estate in UK. There should never be a another new Russian fighter aircraft in IAF arsenal. Look at that Su-57 how it looks. It looks like they siphoned off our money and made the bare minimum effort to build a 5th generation fighter. Is it even a 5th generation fighter? They have milked us enough. Russia is heading for a catastrophe in the coming decades. They have got nothing to sell apart from natural resources which is what keeping their economy alive. It is time to pour money into our own military industrial complex which will pay dividends in 20 years.

@abingdonboy @IndianHawk @fire starter @Haldilal @FalconSlayers @Lonewolf @Hariharan_kalarikkal
Shameful if it's true
I downloaded the video incase it got deleted
Lol ...@vishnugupt was right ..These jokers in IAF only know how to do sabotage their own MIC ..
First army sabotaged ATAGS and now IAF sabotaging MWF ..
AMCA is in very distant future and someone please inform these IAF dunderheads that you can never leapfrog from 4 to 5 without demonstrating the technologies
This AMCA /CHAMCA is only for now ..When time will come these fucktards will force government to buy F35 or even checkmate ..

They should now change their name to "Imported air force"

Could have done that 20 years ago but it wasn't done. Could have done that 10 years ago but it wasn't done. Could do that now but it isn't done. Late. late and late yet again. Never mind, other countries are not so hopeless at running their defence MIC. India can always buy fighters for IAF from them instead of getting organised and producing fighters in India.

There is no sense in going for separate MRFA, other than for geopolitical reasons.. i.e. F-Shola to appease Uncle Sam..
Or it maybe the case, that IAF mamus will sign off on a few squadrons of Tejas MK2 only when GOI commits to a few more squadrons of Rafale..
I dont have a problem with 2/3 sq of rafale for around 200 Mk2. Infact it sounds like the logical choice.

Ada/hal should priorities mwf(will use this term since it pissess off chandigarh lobby) over amca internally. Make sure in no circumstances amca CDR should be completed before mwf's first flight. Deshbhakts in ada/hal have to fight for their legacy & the the like of Dr kota and defend it. As time passes Mr Chaudhary's foreign venture will loose steam.

And the alleged nationalist GOI should stick to its stand of importing Rafale in batches. Also link it to MWF order in 1:2 or 1:3 ratio (meaning mwf order should be double or triple of Rafale order)

Guys, what do you think about the new rumours about the new turbofan codenamed 'Ganga'...which is beinng rumoured to be a domestic equivalent of AL31?... is there any truth to it, is it being misread, overhyped or just another urban-myth like Surya ICBM?

IAF is interested in LCA mark 2 and they are backing it.

All the next generation technologies are tested on this platform before AMCA. LCA Mark 2 is a very important step in Indian aviation industry.

the reports are not accurate.

If we have absorbed tot for al31 then we should be able to derive an indeginous equivalent engine from it.
So yes Ganga program seems pretty logical.
And might very well be on the lines of how chinese derived copies of Russian engines with Russian approval.

What is the timeline?
- time to formulate requirement
- time to invite offers
- time for OEM's to respond to offers
- time to evaluate offers and select winning bid
2 years?
- time between selecting winner and giving go ahead
- time to make assembly line
- time to build first aircraft
- time to test first aircraft
- delivery
4 years?
Say 2028/2029 to deliver enough for a squadron?

What would the timeline be for Mk2? I don't see why Mk2 could not be delivered around the same time. However Mk2 is an Indian project and India appears incapable of organising such projects successfully. As a consequence IAF can have little confidence in Mk2 turning up on time (and might actually try to slow the project down in the hope of getting shinier toys due to delay in Mk2).

Running numbers again. We need to say good buy to 80+ mig 21 by 2025. And 130 jaguars by 2035. And 50 mirages by 2035.
And 66 mig29 by 2030.

That's 320 jets to replaced by 2035. When amca will come and start replacing su30 early batches.

83 mk1a are already coming. Leaving 240 more jets.
90 more rafales means 150 more jets which will have to be MWF.

Going by budget we could probably order only 72 more rafales and end up buying 170 MWF .

If they are buying fighter jets in a hurry, they are planning for war.

the current squadrons coupled with S400 and Indian navy is adequate to defend.

secondly India already have the technologies and tech base to build LCA mark 2, Tedbf and AMCA.

if needed they can add assembly lines to build 60 LCA mark 1 per year.

HAL is pitching LCA for export this indicates that India can build LCA at faster pace.
