One stealth program is costly enough. Mwf , tedbf and orca are not new designs they are evolution of lca platform . Now with more budget and expertise they are taking shape .

Similarly AMCA will build stealth expertise first. And provide a platform for stealth technologies and next gen networking solutions / dron swarm / wingman control etc. Once we have that by 2030 we will move forward with evolving amca platform it could go bigger too at that time depending upon how 6th gen concepts take shape.
MKI is getting old, and we may have to search for proer replacement for mki from 2040 or 45 onwards. Proper replacement means a new aircraft with similar endurance &payload capacity.

Will AMCA fit in to that mki box? I dont think so. Snd we all saw how reluctant was IAF initially with LCA due to its endurance & payload limitations.

The era of heavy or medium or light is gone.
IAF wants mwf type range so that it can swing between China and Pakistan frontier in case of two front action. Payload of lca is sufficient for most cases.

By2040 I think unmanned UCAV will do the risky jobs such as bombing . So no need for heavy manned jets. 5-6th gen jets will evolve as system of systems with lot of unmanned drones both small and big in network with them. Aura and other stealth drone will penetrate e emeny air space.

Most probably su30 replacement will be optionally manned bigger version of AMCA which could come by 2050. That's all too far out. Right now we are still building su30 which with mid life upgrad keep serving till 2060!!

That's only transfer of manufacturing technology. Nothing to do with kaveri issues.
They will be only willing to help if F-18 SH wins both MMRCA and 57 Naval jets contract.
F-18 SH chances in MMRCA are too low, their only hope is winning the 57 naval jets tender.

IAF’s fighter pilots, with several of them arguing that even a futuristic twin-engine LCA MK II will not match up to the Rafale in every domain. However, it now appears to be on a stable footing with complete government and corporate backing, and an excellent and committed team. A current LCA test pilot argues, “LCA now represents India in a big way – not just HAL anymore. LCA-bashing should get behind us, sooner than later.”

Cat is out of bag. Orca seems to be real now. Both tedbf and orca will go ahead it seems.
Post a copy atleast in ORCA thread why here?

Even then they won't provide what we need only cold section tech will be given which we have mastered ourselves. Engine development is a fight we have to win on our own just likes nukes and cryogenics and ICBM.
