update on tejas gun

There was a synchronization problem in shooting through the propellers. So they have decided to mount the gun backwards.There are many advantages of this. This will prevent aircrafts from lining up at the rear in close combat and also aid in acceleration whenever required.

US AF chief flew the Tejas as well. I think HAL should throw in the Tejas for the US LIFT trainer program. Would certainly the best in the line up.

What bigger endorsement of Tejas and what bigger display display of confidence in the safety and utility of Tejas and what bigger display of commitment to Tejas as the most suitable single-engine platform for the IAF for years to come than the Raksha Mantri herself in the cockpit?

She did fly in Su-30 MKI.

I also get a feeling, one that I share with what a few folks have expressed over at BRF that the SEF programme was never supposed to be seriously pursued. It was a trial balloon to see if the so-called strategic partners are willing to walk the talk. One look at what Amreekis and Swedes had to offer and the plug was pulled on the charade.

The first line was actually two lines: one with a capacity of 5 per year and another with a capacity of 3 per year.
The second line can just produce 8 per year.

Just forget those complications and remember first line = 8 per year and second line = 8 per year.

that's why there was delay coz only first line with 5 air craft is producing.

LSP 5 is from the first line with 3 aircrafts per year

and 2 nd line will produce from 2019
which will automatically ramp up production up to 16

2019 will be a milestone if mk1a uttam and kaveri comes ..
