So 20 second horizontal loop & 14 second vertical loop is confirmed from DRDO BIAS2016 video.

18 deg /sec STR fot tejas in BIAS2016 in horizontal loop almost mtaches that of earlier F-16 versions & mentioned in STR in 2001 by Air Marshal MSD Woolen in Aeroindia2001 presentation,

Tejas achieved it now without full flight envelope opening & with 6 % extra drag due to older production tech(wont be present in tejas SP=4 onwards because it is to built from state of the art production line ).

All this with 800 Kg extra weight(proposed to be reduced by landing gear tweaking in Sp-4 onwards )will only improve this .

Now tejas mk1 A will sport

1.R-73E,
2. Derby ,Python,
3.along with future upgraded Astra mk2 with longer range ,
4. 2052 ASEA 100 plus Km tracking range radar,
5. DRFM baged external state of the art EW suit,

which are all not in original design spec released by IAF, taking tejas mk1 A well above uprgraded IAF Mirage-2000 in all performance specs, & tech!!!

SO congrats ADA for discharging the sacred national duty of giving IAF a fighter worthy of its fighting men!!!

From now on it is HAL-IAF-MOD hand to make it shine in IAF.

Try this one it should work
Question is production has not yet reached 8 per year.
till March 2015: SP01 delivered
till March 2016: Only SP2 is expected to be delivered.

(as per updates from FB, HAL will produce only 2 till March 2017 !!)

So, when HAL produced 8 per year ? Which they are claiming they will make 16 now.

I am only Guessing ... This seems more like management talk.. of Rate of production.. 8/ year might be extrapolation of the current production rate that may have started dec/ jan to this financial year .. expected 16/year might be target for next financial year ..

Aircraft production moves from station to station in x number of days ... depending on how many stations/stages is designed in the assembly line.....

Are there any plans to share the work with private parties?

If the order is 100+ I am sure govt can engage private parties to set up production and assembly lines.

Imagine the amount of jobs and expertise private parties would get out of this step!

They will have to, HAL can be the lead integrator and critical component manufacturer.

Majority of sub-components cannot be manufactured by HAL, smaller private companies will have to pitch in.if you notice the tenders from HAL, you will dependency on Pvt industry .Sub-component portfolio will be too diverse that a single company will not be able to manufacture it alone.

Defence can be the next big area for employment, that is if BJP plays it's cards right.
Even just taking the domestic consumption, I am sure the employment would be on par with IT sector.

In few years with decent export orders, a really bright future..

That is if our politicians play nice!
