Simply put Tejas or any other fighter is a platform to do different tasks. The variety of tasks it could perform makes it important. Even more important is its ability to interchange these tasks mid air with ease. The factoring limitation being range , speed and payloads.
If it can hold on its own in its range and is equipped optimally, its a great job done.

I have seen all those brochures, buddy. I have been following this project since 2002 and trying to read almost every development news on this project, sifting our facts from propaganda and fiction. What you see in the brochure is not what IAF is demanding/has demanded or will demand in the future. It is a brochure to show what HAL and ADA in collaboration with DRDO wishes to probably export to friendly nations. I would say HAL should agree to export Tejas even to Pakistan. Let Pakistanis fights our IAF with our Tejas and let IAF then learn the true power of Tejas. Call me whatever you want, but I am pissed off with the drama of IAF. HAL should care a damn about IAF and simply start selling the aircrafts to all foreign nations that are ready to test, pay and buy.
All we members, who are called "Arjun Brigade" or "Tejas Brigade" for relentlessly supporting indigenous projects, understand your pain. I was as worried before 26th May 2014, as you are now.

Have faith on Modi-Parrikar duo. If you will just review the past one year (specifically from defense point of view), you will definitely notice the subtle change in MoD attitude.

Moreover, LCA has full backing of IN. ADA chief Balaji is a Navy man. So, relax buddy. Let the "Time" do its own handiwork.

Let me assure you of LCA-Tejas induction in high numbers, despite all the drama & opposition of Chair-Marshalls (Retired as well as Serving).

A Quarter of a vertical loop in four seconds flat!!! Never seen before on tejas,
LCA-Tejas software blocks upgraded, which allowed it to pull beyond 8Gs and cleared it to perform manoeuvres which were never seen before. So hope for a good show in bahrain!!!

No wonder chinese - jf-17 ran away from bahrain.

Times change, but some defence jourANALysts never change!!!
