Finally some one has guts to dish out truth of this failed mi 21++ jet , not truth is its not even equal to mig 21
We have no doubts on Tejas' capabilities: IAF Chief | idrw.org

the present IAF chief has seen the fighter up close after IOC-2 and he says, "IAF has no doubts about the capability of tejas".

We have no doubts on Tejas' capabilities: IAF Chief | idrw.org.

Of course only dumb guys will equate Tejas with mig-21,, there are a legion of such guys posing as defence jour"analists" and aeronautic "eggspurts" .

We always love to see their "eggsputize" getting splashed all over the net drawing guys like you in a way the fire draws moth!!!!

BEL is offering indigenously-built radars for the Indian Air Force's LCA Tejas currently featuring Israeli multi-mode radars on board. SK Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director of BEL told reporters here at Aero India 2015, "Our Active Array Radar is currently being developed in collaboration with DRDO, and would take 2 years to complete. The progress is going good and we hope Tejas could ultimately have homemade radars." The company executive highlighted the other IAF upgrade programmes including its electronic warfare suites expected to undergo trails in 6 months, which is also likely to cover the LCA program. Simultaneously, BEL is developing new technical control radar for the army, low level transportable radars for IAF and army, as well as weapon upgrades for army. Further adding, Sharma said Akash missile for the Indian Army has gained production clearance and the delivery will commence in next 2-3 years. "BEL has a share of over 3000-4000 crore in the order size of Rs 14000 crore". BEL will supply systems including long range capture surveillance and capture radar, fire radar, control systems among others. Quizzed upon the Indian Army's Battlefield Management System (BMS) program, Sharma said the official nod has not been given yet, and the actual progress will take another 4 years. BEL is bidding with 7 other companies.

Many of the IAF Brass are against tejas and some of their relatives (family members etc) who are there on other forums do more or less ooze praises for Rafale and hatred for Tejas inspite of them or their possible relatives never having flown either
Some are so dumb that they feel that HAL sponsored the killing of Ecuadorian general who was speaking against Dhruv in Ecuadorian service.
And some of the guys due to delay of Tejas are of the view that HAL staff should all be lined and shot, strangely they do not understand the facts that IAF themselves have been changing the specifications many times. When theyw ent for RFP of MMRCA, what were they actually going to order? Single seat, single engined Mirage 2000 and what they ended up choosing? Twin engined, AESA Rafale.

Tell you another interesting thing, IAF top brass have been bitching about having two seater planes, like the same for Su-30 MKI the request is specifically for twin seater and so MKI is twin seater am I right? The same concept they are asking for FGFA (Indian FGFA should be twin seater as per request of IAF) but then the Rafale deal, only 30% are twin seaters and rest are single seaters. Now thi RFP as you know is not old, so why this discounting? why not twin seater Rafale? Would PAKFA and FGFA not be more modern with lot of data fusion? so why the older and more modern plane be Twin seaters by order of IAF but willing to accept 70% single seat of Rafale? Do you see any justification?

BTW The forum where some guy claiming he is son of IAF pilot who was killed during action is on Indian defence forum, I firmly feel that his father could have died in drunk brawl, at least by this kids IQ

At start people are patriotic, so till the time they get to Wing commanders they are flying and are patriotic, but the moment they get behind a desk they start thinking of playing politics and of course their retirement plans. Hence usually you will see people who we call top brass commenting something when they should not. Sadly the govt cannot put a gag order on the IAF chief even though he is speaking out of turn. But even though IAF short lists the plane, the final purchase decision is that of MoD. So if say India selects to order Su-30 MKI and the ACM does not like it, he has the choice to resign voluntarily. That choice is his. I do not see the Service chief being so patriotic and confident about his belief that he will resign for it, because if he resigns then he does lose the cut anyway.

In addition, all of our armed services are becoming top heavy. They have too many staff and general officers now and yet they keep screaming for officer shortage. Because of the stampede at the top level, commanders get very short time to command before the next guy in line is elbowing him out. Committees after committees are formed to keep these people engaged. My feeling is that if there is a war tomorrow, large number of these officers will be sent on forcible retirement within 48 hours, like Americans did during World War II.

Finally, its impossible for a Gregory Zhukov type leader to emerge in Indian forces at present. Its simply impossible for a soldier to become the Chief of Staff, which is going to be a big problem soon to these British era officers, living in their cocoon. The transformation has already begun and today's graduate soldiers do not have same reverence for officers anymore. Today, if you are an officer and if you want respect, earn it. All oldies are quite scared now. Example: The mortal fear in senior officers from Whatsapp and social media.
