who will buy it when it is still going through testing phase, IOC-2 till 2015?

kaveri engine no where to be seen and Yanks will never allow exports with GE 404/ 414s until you guys sign a license agreement akin the Swedes did (GE with Volvo Aero) think about it.

It will be displayed and will represent Indian aerospace Industry regardless for sale or not ..

I dont see any trouble in it, Except if someone has some grudge about it ? I hope that is not your intention here ..

* On your first point, it is a good endeavor

* second point, useless skepticism.

When yanks allow you to operate F-16s they will have no problem in allowing a few GEE engined tejas,

Do you know what is the total value of military hardware that india has bought from US in the past four years?

it will be more than the entire value of your defence budge,

So noway US can veto tejas export especially when it has no competing product in the segment while allowing swedes to export grippen with GE engines.

India will be one of the world's largest economy and no way americans are going to risk this economic relationship for the sake of few hundred GE engines.

Lets not talk abt something which is not related to our Tejas, This is a Tejas thread and should be till tejas, Mild exceptions are allowed for educational purpose though ..

Regarding @sayareakd Sir, Kaveri engine program and its induction, Vietnam is looking into such possibilities and my source is from Vietnamese Military officer only ..

at least compared to the paki biriyani flavoured chowmein called jf-17, lca is a pretty decent aircraft.

Seriously i don't think any other fighter of its class comes close in terms of beauty with the Tejas..:romantic: She is just mesmerizing, Demure like any other indian woman, but given her a chance I'am pretty sure she will make her adversaries :bolt:pray to their gods to save them from her wrath, Just like any Indian :hail:woman

I have have doubts, After watching Army day this year ..
Sir their must be reason for this.

Plus static display would actually give general public a good look at LCA. Fly pass would be mean more LCAs, plus they are so fast you hardly get to look at it. As i am typing this, IAF fighters are getting past my house for R Day rehearsals, again they are so fast that you hardly going to see them, just hear their sonic boom.
