i bet AMCA would be much faster as all the learning in LCA would be come in handy. We will not take years for testing.

BTW this is our first aircraft, so we cannot afford to fail, plus we dont want any crash, that is why it is taking time.

My last post about tejas flight tests updates had an error. The total number of flights in last update was actually 2044 instead of 2045. That error has been rectified in this post.

Looking forward to this..

"The production line of Tejas at HAL has been moved to a new premises with a built-up area of around 28,000 sqm of Hangars, engineering andadministrative blocks. Upgrade and augmentation of production tooling, which is expected to be 2.5 times of prototype requirements, is underway to enhance the rate of production and to expedite delivery of the aircraft," Tyagi said. HAL promises to add more teeth to IAF by delivering 2 Squadrons of Tejas in the next five years.
