Only the back end signal processor is from ELTA, The whole radar equipments is indain and has no relation with Elta-2032 ,when it comes to range or power.

Thanks for the Info sakthivel great then there is indigenization for this critical tech . My confusion was because when you look at some of the articles from around 2009/2010 it mentioned that the LSP-3 which is the first tejas to actually have a radar flew with the ELTA 2032 radar.

There is a VAYU magazine article which says that the whole radar apart from the back end signal processor (which is ELTA ) is INDIAN one.
And it also says that it has detection and tracking range of 150 km. Coupled with ADA chief's recent statement that Tejas-mk-2 will have interfaces to fire Meteor with indigenous ASEA radar , Tejas mk-2 is as potent as Rafale in air to air roles within it's range .The only difference is rafale has more missile load and more range,
But in critical forward bases in border area tejas mk-2 with meteor(if mated with tejas mk-2) will give complete air dominance for IAF over any other plane currently in service with PLAF and PAF.

Ahead Of Debut Firepower Demo, Tejas At Aero India

Livefist: Ahead Of Debut Firepower Demo, Tejas At Aero India

A full-scale mock-up of the LCA Tejas twin-seat trainer variant will be on display at Aero India. Two fighter variants will participate in the show -- one on the flightline display and the other flying.

An Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) statement on the Tejas ahead of Aero India 2013. Of course, it has a few exaggerations:

The Tejas development programme which is in the advanced stage has completed Initial Operation Clearance (IOC) requirements [not true -- it has yet to complete IOC-2 requirements] and continuing system performance towards reaching Final Operations Clearance (FOC).

Tejas has completed 1986 flawless flight trials till date: Cold Weather & High Altitude Trials at Leh and Pathankot / Hot Weather & Weapon Trials in the Desert Terrains of Jaisalmer & Uttarlai.

LCA will be participating for the first time in the air power demonstration Iron Fist. There, it will demonstrate the capability of swing role in weapon delivery, performing both air-to-air and air-to-ground operations.

Indian Air Force (IAF) has placed production order on HAL for 40 LCAs and production activity is under progress.

LCA's other variants include two-seater LCA-Trainer and LCA-Navy with capability of taking-off from Aircraft Carrier Ship as well as Ship Deck landing capability with Arrestor Hook Recovery System being incorporated. The Naval Version of Tejas made is maiden Flight in the previous year (27th April 2012). This is a significant Mile Stone in the History of Indian Aviation, in Designing a Naval Variant of a Fighter Aircraft. The Naval Variant is getting ready for ski-jump trials from Shore Based Test Facility (SBTF) at Goa.

Initial work has also been stated on future programmes like Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft and Unmanned Air Systems.

TEJAS COMPLETES 2000 FLIGHTS

Just got conformation from a source that India's Tejas fighter crossed a very significant milestone by logging the 2000th flight. The much-awaited moment happened yesterday (evening 02 Feb '13), when a LSP-4 aircraft from the Tejas line logged Flight No 2000, during practice sessions for Aero India. The LCAs at Aero India are expected to perform 'multiple aerobatics' for the first time. A formal announcement is expected shortly. Congratulations to Tejas designers, engineers, Test pilots, flight-test engineers, technicians and ground crew

This was the one I caught. Everyone's in for a pleasant surprise when they see this bird move. Those wing loading and angle of attack questions should be put to rest.
