introduction of Dandong city.

In china, Dandong city is just one of hundreds of Grade C cities . its urban population is about only 0.5 million or so, I think.

Manchuria, where Dandong city is located,is a famous for "chinese rusty belt" like Detroit in USA,because Manchuria has been losing its competition against vigourous southeast CHina.

In fact, since 1978, the rank of manchuria economy in china has been going down and down year by year.

however, judging from the pictures of Dandong city searched from internet,
wide prosperity in China has also penetrated into Dandong city, altought it is just a lonely grade C city in the "Chinese rusty belt"

the airport once was a military airport ,so it was very crappy.

it took only 3 minutes to reached the first city in N.kroea, Xinyizhou city.

the writer excitedly wrote that :

" the train seems to be wonderful time-shuttle,which is bringing us to a land which is quite like China several decades ago.no mobile. dull clothes, no commerical advertisement, communist slogons on walls......"

In fact, any chinese who experienced Mao's rule should be very familiar with the status quo in N.korea.

N.korea today is just the copy of China under the rule of Mao.

the pier of broken bridge over the boundary river. it belongs to N.korea and now is a view of interest.

due to the constant power but, the train to Pyongyang, the capital of N.korea ran very slowly.

it took 5+ hours to finish the 200-KM-long trip.

the writer said: " green forest are everywhere beside the railway. what a fertile and wonderful land. however, the crappy ruler Kim ruin such a beautiful land!"
