after the 5 hours long train trip, the writer reached to Pyongyong city, the capital of N.korea.

here is the hotel where the writer lived " Yangjiao Island Hotel".

the hotel is one of two best and most luxery hotels in N.Korea. It is located in a small island in one river.

in N.korea, foreign tourists are not encouraged to talk with local people. the paticular location is also helpful to isolate foreign tourists from local Korean people.

the tall pyramid building far away is "LiuJing Plaza".

it is 100+ floors tall and is the tallest semi-finished building in the world.

I am sure that it will be the most famous semi-finished building in the world soon.

N.korea started building the plaza in later 1980s,when its economy was still not bad.

In 1988, Seoul Olympics showed the world how successful S.korea was!

Frustrated by the success of Seoul Olympics, N.korea also decided to do something wonderful to show the world how successful N.Korea was !

So, N.korea started to build the 100+ floored building.

However, in only several years, Soviet collasped and N.korea lost the main donator and went bankrupty. So the construction of the building had to be suspended.

Now, the building seems to become the symbol of N.korea's bankrupty .
I think the building won't be finished forever ,unless N.korea reform its economy.

a monument specially to commemorate Chinese soilders who died in Korea war (1950-1953).

During the war, China sent over 1 million soldiers to fight against yankees ,in order to save the ass of Fat Kim I.

Finally, China managed to expell Yankees out of N.korea, and the ass of Fat Kim I was saved.
However, over 100,000 Chinese soldiers died in Korea.Their name were also forgotten gradually by two Fat Kims.

the books beside the monument. it is full of the name of brave Chinese solders who died during Korea war.

west medias always blahs that China lost 1+ million sodilers in Korea war, just to show what supermen west soidler were.

However, Chinese ministry of civil affairs shows that only 140,000 + chinese soldiers died in the battlefields of Korea war.

Of course, I neithe trust west data nor data from Chinese government.
