Law enforcement officials in Laredo see one of the largest seizures of weapons in ten years.
According to authorities they got information of a vehicle suspected of transporting contraband.
A police unit made the stop of a van traveling east on International Blvd.
One of the suspects inside tried to run away but police were able to catch him.
Inside police were able to find this arsenal of weapons.
147 assault riffles most of them AK 47's.
More than two hundred high capacity magazines and 10 thousand rounds of ammunition.
Police and the Webb County Sheriff's department worked together to seize the weapons.
They say they assume the weapons were headed to Mexico.
