Goodness damn, so we deployed Aakash batteries at Gwaiior, Tezpur and Lohegaon Airbases but this one slipped the budget? Probably S125 was chosen because of it's operational record of downing an F16 USAF jet in Iraq war. :biggrin2:

This is USAF doctrine where front-line fighter say F22 going deep in enemy territory for intelligence gathering and later data linking info to other air superiority assets in the airspace is something we still don't practise. We can but we don't do it like that. In fact F22s don't even go deep...

Why not SU35s … it's a good heavy weight fighter class with unmatched range, besides New F18s with canted fuel tanks would suit much better as a competitor in the final rounds. Why I am again getting a feeling that MMRCA 2.0 is again one giant … FUBAR?
