SAAW with data link, and a cruising miniature motor like SPICE 250ER should be the way to go. And should be big number on top of all ground attack IAF assets.

Not even close. The roll out rates are itself an evidence. Consider Rafael for that same example.

So he said very clearly that Tejas is thought of as an extension of Mirage. Its was inspired from Mirage 2000C. The Mk2 platform is almost Mirage 2000 but much better in terms of features and avionics.

    1. Either somebody is editing it to display false information. 2. It could be decommissioning of Mig-21. 3. We recently acquired some new Jags. And france was supposed to donate some 30ish Jags.

That's what you get when you rely too much on foreign equipment. . IMHO I always admired the French systems, they are built purposefully to a meticulous detail. In fact the Mirage 2000 standard is one of the most beloved systems, it can easily match F16 to this day. No wonder the sortie rate and...

Goodness damn, so we deployed Aakash batteries at Gwaiior, Tezpur and Lohegaon Airbases but this one slipped the budget? Probably S125 was chosen because of it's operational record of downing an F16 USAF jet in Iraq war. :biggrin2:

This is USAF doctrine where front-line fighter say F22 going deep in enemy territory for intelligence gathering and later data linking info to other air superiority assets in the airspace is something we still don't practise. We can but we don't do it like that. In fact F22s don't even go deep...

IMHO ... both the jets shot each other, Wing comm. Abhinandan was lucky enough to eject, while F16 pilot wasn't. Here's an excerpt from an analyst from the drive.com: "You don't have to take Tyler Rogoway's word for this. The USAF found this out the hard way during one of the most beneficial...

Why not SU35s … it's a good heavy weight fighter class with unmatched range, besides New F18s with canted fuel tanks would suit much better as a competitor in the final rounds. Why I am again getting a feeling that MMRCA 2.0 is again one giant … FUBAR?

Found a video: Interesting part is the F18 engaging with possibly our flankers in 1On1 WVR engagements. We can see the F18 pilot possibly trying to keep a flanker away from tail. At first it's trying to assess the turning rates of flanker and then the F18 pilot later pitch the nose of hornet...
