Massive lobbying detected by L&M and Tata. However I hope AMCA survives to see the daylight.

I think this has definitely have to do with radar returns and using the body of aircraft to generate more lift to compensate for smaller rudders. If you see SU57, you would also see smaller rudders.

If you increase composites percentage by 3D printing them, then you can go with 110KN non-enhanced versions with still improved fuel capacity, you will be ready from day one to be able to have slight better T/W ratio. What is composite usage percentage in our AMCA? Much of this can be...

If you look at the F22 program and then the later program of F35 and even the NGs B2, its already clear that different type of RAM coating are applied to different areas of the airframes. Example stabilizers and nose cones have erosion seen in F22 and F35. So its much more likely to assume that...

Copying smartly is more advantageous especially if you have lots of cash to burn, 100BN to be specific on military hardware. There capability of copying can easily be seen with its Nanjing Wiiboox 3D Technology Co. factory which 3D prints Composites which are now being staple in there fighter...

Never said, we cannot develop it, it is a bit complex, expect them on AMCA in its later stage of development. Again coming down to our manufacturing capability, we aren't ready yet, expect them on AMCA in its later stage of development. I really appreciate your enthusiasm, but miniaturization...

I have a solid reasoning of EOTS on AMCA would be nothing like F35 EOTS. F35 EOTS was cleverly researched. I do not know much about the tech on EOTS, but I do know that it is the most expensive piece of hardware on it and a crown jewel to detect SAMs and ground targets from hundreds of Km's...

Are these exactly what ADA has designed? This looks even better than F35 to me.

Depends, for an escort or denial of airspace role, it could use simply external hardpoints to have stacked weapon pods. But if something is required to be covert mission, then those 4 internal hard points could be useful as well.

I agree, 2030 is the decade when the plan of the Chinese will be set in motion. We've seen the trailer in 2020. "All borders needs to be consolidated by 2025" is there plan. Although they didn't got anything much but they saw our preparedness. That's what they do, they do a test run, and then...

The shift from private sector is necessary. From decades we have seen PSU's making grandiose commitments and later failed to deliver. Its a tight slap to these PSUs, by involving private players, they know there doors would be shut if they don't deliver. IAF recognizes the failure to deliver...

IMHO the original vision for IAF was to use Tejas MK1 in only limited amount to realize a capable fighter which can surpass M2000 we currently have in our inventory. Tejas MK1 should be fast-tracked to move to MK2 variant, AMCA should be done in parallel, at least the prototype stage.

J20 is a long endurance LO fighter bomber. That huge thing was made to intraduct enemy airspace with PL15s essentially not allowing force push of air superiority fighters, and support aircrafts like awacs and fuel tankers, by simply firing a long range A2A missiles. Its nez is questionable though.

I see F18 style auto recovery mode, if pilot is fatigued. The beauty of AI giving us the firing solutions is impeccable. Imagine a PAK F16 firing an AAMRAMM or there newer upcoming version, and automatically AI would resolve best AoA for decreasing D1max of the incoming missile. It will also...

Oh, ok I though its like the Tempest or YF23. Interesting paper, so if you minimize vertical stabilizers you decrease RCS, meaning F22 RCS can decrease to like what ... zero if they reduce its vertical stabilizer fins? That's sick. SU57 that's why has those small fins. I can see that roll-rate...

AMCA - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (HAL)

Not an aerodynamic expert, canards will surely increase the low speed aspects and nose authority. But with that tail configuration of YF23, you are practically overkilling the pitch authority and low speeds, this design would be hell of a fuel efficient to be very frank, and would be better...
