Is there a printed source for this? Thanks!

81mm mortars. There is no relaying so 15 rpm is the rate of fire which can be achieved. So waste? No.

Kunal, are those NCC cadets - Senior Division?

    Nice find. But was that a 105 Mod 56 or a 75/24?

Those are nice photos. But any in Indian service (both have been phased out completely).

Does anyone have any photographs of the 76mm M48 Yugoslavian mountain gun or the 105mm Oto Melara Mod 56 pack howitzer in Indian service? Thanks in advance.

Kunal do you have a video for those 105mm guns deployed in the East?

No. Total BSF 105mm gun procurement was 135 guns. It has 20 post-groups of artillery. A post group equals a battery - not a regiment. Prior to the 105mm induction they used everything from 6pdr anti-tank guns to 3.7 inch mountain howitzers to 25pdrs.

From those incidents, I was once told that the total lost or non operational is around 30. Bringing back the cannibalized guns should have been feasible.

Let me ask this one Kunal - there is this story going around that only 1/2 of the 410 Bofors guns are operation. I know in 1999 we ordered spares. Is this a complete nonsense? BTW - I love that photograph of the 105mm and 81mm mortars.

Kunal, any clue about this fuze shortage for artillery shells? Seems weird.

This seems to be a QC problem. If it was a design issue, it would have been a problem with every gun. That said, increasing the diameter of the muzzle brake might be a good idea.

Kunal - I love this photo! Any idea which NCC unit this is from?

Nice going Kunal. Do we have an idea how many M46 were upgraded to 155mm? I like those of the NCC. I wonder if those guns work?

    Indian Army Artillery

Always did - I think I've seen 25 pdrs and 75/24s. They had armoured cars too at one time.

Does anyone have any information on the artillery used by NCC artillery batteries? Any photos?

Ok here it is - L-60 on a Morris Chassis. One regiment served until 1962 as the SP LAA component of the artillery brigade of 1st Armoured Division. Sorry about the quality but it is a phone photo from a book.

Those were used not so much for AA but for enhancing LRDG firepower. I am sure I have a photo somewhere.

An additional photo for you guys - Indian troops with a 6 pdr AT gun. This remained as part of the AT regiments of infantry divisions post independence and some even went to the BSF. If anyone knows when they were phased out I'd like to know myself. There is one other AT gun that you will not...
