Both looks different. QR SAM TEL and canister shows smaller missile. It use TEL of Akash, while adopting small size prahar canister.

its vertical height envelop is not that much, specially for ballistic missile RV and if it can handle RV at that speed. still if we can have system like this i will be happy, as something is better than having nothing at all.

Indian missile is cheap, also we are at the mercy of foreign maker for source code, they dont share and if info is leaked we are screwed. For Indian product, we can change product at short notice, can do all sorts of things.

Previously it was Akash 2, now its Akash NG. Which is not mere extended range, but with new seeker and other things like TVC. Hope it is VL canister missile.

PDV use IR. PAD use one i posted above google it. It was old pic of 2011 with seeker from Russia, later on we used our own, which is more powerful and two modifications are made since it was tested.

just add to what payeng has said, everyone knows foreign product, plus manufacture does not share source code, thefore enemy is ready against that product. For domestic product we can change source code quickly, as per our requirement, we are not dependent on any country.

:clobber: As told by the developer, the reason behind is that if the missile is slow it will miss the target and if the missile is fast it will over shoot the missile therefore it is important that through out its fight it will have same speed so that it can take out target.
