LCA Tejas Gets Initial Operational Clearance for Induction into IAF (pib.gov.in) Press release also says, "Over 1700 kms". So, it's definitely around 1800 kms or so. If you are talking about your fighter on an international platform, giving conservative numbers isn't really a good choice i believe.

LCA TEJAS MK1 & MK1A: News and Discussion

HAL aint perfect, but the IAF kept shifting the goal post. Tejas was granted IOC in 2011 and a reasonably sized order then itself would have ensured deliveries to begin by 2013-2014 in decent numbers. Instead as usual, IAF started adding requirements...like they want Tejas to fly to the moon and...

Lol kuch Lol, kuch bhi. The current Tejas weight is 6.6 tons empty and it can carry 2500 kgs of fuel and 4000 kgs weapons payload, thus a total of 6.5k tons payload(fuel and weapons). So Ajai Shukla is saying, 1.1k tons will be shaved off and the 5.5 tons fighter would carry 6.5k tons payload...

Facts about JF-17 & LCA Tejas #jf17thunder #lcatejas #pakistan - YouTube First time ever, I would agree with a Pakistani. They are literally not equipping Tejas with any weapons. Astra mk1 integration is "ongoing" for the last 2-3 years. SAAW integration no status? Asraam? No idea. JDAM/Hammer...

that wont be the case but 500 kms gives us enough cushion and leverage to take diverted routes, etc to reach... Say.. Islamabad. And doing CAP with Air to Air missiles, without drop tanks would still give it a flight time over an hour and a half. Air time of 15-30 mins? Wtf. Mazaak chal raha...

around 500 kms without tanks . More than enough to dominate over Pakistan.

LCA TEJAS MK1 & MK1A: News and Discussion

i was wrong about the dual pylons. Dual pylons is being developed for CCM, not BVR i thought earlier. And we need to consider that because its one of the major known upcoming upgrades. And 500 kms combat radius is more than enough to dominate skies over Islamabad for good period.(Islamabad is...
