    ISRO's Reusable Launch Vehicles

Technologically, I don't think there is any difference. However, don't be surprised to hear this that in many technologies, same thing in civilian applications does not work for military applications and vice-versa. One example is building a supersonic aircraft.

    ISRO's Reusable Launch Vehicles

Maybe, but when it comes to missiles, I would expect it to be under DRDO, not ISRO. Your question was about missile.

You are correct that the future shuttle missions will probably be tandem configuration. ISRO's Reusable Launch Vehicles

I think ISRO is not considering this as a Space Shuttle mission. Rather, this is a stepping stone towards the Space Shuttle mission. This launch was a technology demonstrator (which is why they are not calling it RLV, but RLV-TD), and there will be few more I think.

    ISRO's Reusable Launch Vehicles

I checked quite a lot of news sites. Only two of them had the correct picture of the RLV-TD. Rest of them all had old pictures of PSLV and GSLV launches. Sorry if a repost. I haven't had time to check all the posts. RLV-TD from The Hindu RLV-TD from BBC

Thank you. This is a genuine picture. The wings of the RLV-TD are clearly visible. Most of the Tweets and news sites are showing pictures of old PSLV launches. Let us post genuine pictures of RLV-TD. Guys, please do not post pictures of PSLV, GSLV, or misleading/irrelevant stuff.
