There is no TD phase as per last communication from ADA . It's all prototypes.

It means it was not even on HALs radar in 2016 .. Just because ADA liberally pulls out by timelines out of their ass does not mean that we need to believe them .. And a few days back another ex IAF office working for HAL has told us the actual timeline .. and ADA presentations still have 2024 as...

When the manufacturer does not now anything about the project .. and we keep believing ADAs timelines .. 9 years hence no difference.

I had spoken to a retired airforce officer employed by HAL back in 2016 .. He was involved with the lca mk1 .. He had not even heard about the tejas mk2 .. It was after this conversation that I started taking every timeline put out with extreme skepticism.

Makes sense, it was the ADA guys making promises of 2024 first flight .. HAL the actual prototype manufacturer has just given us a dose of reality .. So 2025 last quarter will be roll out assuming 3 years of manufacturing time.

Does anyone have a confirmation on the placement of the cannon on the mk2 ? Is it on the shoulder or is it pod mounted.

No ..roll out means it is ready for ground testing in lieu of first flight .. implying that it needs to be the actual prototype. Public may be shown a mockup or testbed to avoid delays in development time or keeping security in mind

Have there been any leaks about aero structures for mk2 being fabricated etc .. HAL claimed that they will go for "jigless" assembly but recently we got news that the jig for mk2 is in place . What does jigless even mean . Any info is appreciated.
