INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

I don't trust that the Biden administration/democrats will not neuter US response in case of PLA Navy attack on Andaman and Nicobar. China has leverage on Biden. Watch this and read the accompanying report: China systematically targeted Hunter Biden with business deals involving the Chinese...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

In relation to my previous post, this is what China has already been trying to do in the Indian Ocean: https://english.newstracklive.com/news/china-is-developing-artificial-island-in-indian-ocean-to-trap-india-mc23-nu764-ta272-1091768-1.html China is developing an artificial island in Indian...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

People love to list the advantages of an aircraft carrier, but forget about the biggest disadvantage: If it sinks, you not only lose its entire aircraft, missile and crew complement, but it's a massive hit on navy morale. Airbases and naval bases on islands on the other hand can be repaired...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

It's good that they are trying to resolve Mig-29k maintenance issues, but given its limitations I would not recommend another STOBAR carrier with Mig-29k: That includes the buddy refuelling, which as you said, limits the number of Mig-29k that can operate at one time. Then, given the budget...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

It's just that, due to Covid-19 and resulting economic setback, Indian Navy currently probably can't afford a CATOBAR carrier operating a full complement of Rafales. Because of budgetary constraints, the alternative is to spend the money in developing India's islands into airbases (unsinkable...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

I have no problem with INS Vishal or more Indian Navy carriers, as long as they are CATOBAR carriers that operate Rafale or something better. The Mig-29K operating from STOBAR carrier is a maintenance headache, and doesn't carry enough of a payload when operating from a STOBAR carrier.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Why can't Chinese propagandists ever learn proper English. It's not "world has been benefited," just "world has benefited." Please go back to grade school and learn simple grammar and spelling before selling Chinese Communist Party propaganda; it's Iphone not Ipone. If I was your propaganda...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

The world should cut China (and Chinese trolls) access to the internet.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Unless India was operating CATOBAR carriers with Rafales, sinking more money into carriers is not worth it. The Mig-29k is heavy on maintenance and limited on payload operating from STOBAR carriers, and the Tejas Navy is also not being accepted in its current configuration and will take time...

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Instead of spending money on more and more carriers, India can spend that money to turn all its islands into unsinkable carriers by arming them with a lot of missiles, aircraft, etc.
