Nop ! It was just a plan until the North Koreans provocation somewhere in the year 2008 or 2010, its about the same time we started working on the designs.

Man ! We started the project about the same time as the Koreans did and now they have a head start.

Too bad, private companies aren't matured enough to handle projects with such complexity and cost in this domain.

Well yeah, AMCA does share some design elements with YF-23 and if rumors are to be believed, YF-23 was a much better aircraft than the F-22. Fingers crossed.
